- Waxing pulls hair from the root, so it takes longer to grow back and often grows back softer. Shaving only cuts hair at the surface, which disrupts the slower regrowth pattern caused by waxing.

To prevent ingrowns, irritation, and buildup, it’s best to stick to waxing consistently (every 4–6 weeks) and avoid shaving in between. Regular exfoliation and moisturizing also help keep follicles clear and skin healthy.
