Not a goodbye, but a see ya later 🫶🏽

This season of my life has definitely stretched my faith in ways I could write for days… and it’s not easy beginning to write this post because it really is hard for me to close a chapter of my life I’ve truly given so much to. But, God is so faithful and I can truthfully say I have never had so much peace about what I’m about to share with you.

Thriving Ivy was birthed from a place of sweet grace. I had left a place I called home for many years and I had to figure out what was next. In that time my faith was really, really growing and I wasn’t sure what to do, but I knew it was time to truly start doing what I preached. To have faith and ask the Lord for grace and favor. So I took a leap of faith and became a true entrepreneur. 🕊

It. Was. So. Hard. I’m being so honest with you all because there is WEIGHT with this post and one I know that God wants me to share because you all mean the world to me and my family.

When the Lord opened my eyes to cosmetology, I was in a very broken and lost place, but I didn’t have the faith I had when I started my own business, let alone now. And so He showed His goodness and GREATNESS in the school, and the first salon I was in for a very long time. God did things that truly made heads turn. I knew I was called to greater things, and here we are.

God used cosmetology to grow my faith, and grow me. I needed to see…
1. How real God is
2. I am favored
3. Anything is possible with God
4. He reigns over all
5. My gifts

My gifts, that last one. My gifts. Growing up I literally, LITERALLY had no idea that there was cosmetology schools and non the less, make a career out of it… and so when God did what I thought was impossible, more than possible more like MIND BLOWING with my career as a cosmetologist I was shook. I told EVERY SINGLE PERSON about my story and how Jesus changed my life. Year after year I grew in faith, and as an entrepreneur I truly saw the Lords hand on my life more than ever.(continue in comments)❤️

I know I left y’all hanging with some news I needed to share and it’s been heavy on my heart! We made a decision to close down the suite we had in Largo after much prayer.🙏🏽⁣

I really want to say thank you for the incredible women and men who have prayed for my heart in this time. Doing hair is truly one of my many gifts God’s given me. And I’m so thankful for the open doors and closed ones. 🎉⁣

I hope one day I can write a book to share this journey because it’s been REAL. 😂 but in the midst of trials and hard decisions, I find that THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH. ⁣

I just want to encourage anyone in the midst of change… if God is asking you to step out in faith to work for yourself… DO IT. If God is asking you to take a step back… DO IT. With obedience comes great reward. ☀️⁣
