I asked a 7yr old this question and their response: “sharing and being a good friend.”
I asked again if there is any other behaviors that show kindness, and all the answers I received had to do with how we treat others.
I found this to be one of the best conversations I’ve had with this 7yr old because it helped me realize a few things. Kindness starts with how we treat ourselves. Children watch their parents… and mimic the behaviors they see. Sounds simple, until you raise a little monster and have no one to blame but yourself haha… semi-kidding.
But really… when I grow up- I want to be kind.
