The beauty of facial balancing is that it should look effortless. The "maybe she did, maybe she didn't" kind of wonder.

For this client, we focused on her chin to enhance projection, giving her lower face a stronger, more balanced profile. You might notice her face seems longer, slimmer, and jawline more defined.

Lips were just because 😍.

The client initially asked about splitting a syringe between the two areas. But after a thorough assessment, I thought it best to work on her chin over her lips since played a key role in overall balance.

We ultimately decided on two syringes to achieve the most natural, refined result.

It's always so interesting that one of the biggest fears people have regarding lip filler is ending up with "big lips". The catch is that I can always tell when "big lips" were once actually natural for you. Fuller lips are not the enemy, especially when it balances your features. Balanced, hydrated lips, and restoring volume to where they used to be (not necessarily more) is so youthful! But trust your injector and have an open and honest conversation with what you are looking for!

Just because you already have nice full lips does not mean we should turn you away and say NO filler.

Often times, I think that's my best trait. Listening to your concerns and trying to see what you see. Sometimes, what the patient is asking for isn't really what they're asking for. And it's my job as an injector snd trusted professional to figure out what's being said between the lines.

"My lips look small" might very well mean: "I need more balance".

Here, we begin to balance her naturally full lips by focusing on her bottom pout.

Facial balancing ⚖️

This was my clients first time getting filler but she knew what she wanted: she wanted her jowls to disappear. While I couldn't make them disappear, I promised to try balancing her features so that her jowls could blend in and hide better. Lifting her cheeks, blending in her chin, and a tiny bit of filler in the lips was all she needed to look completely refreshed!

Let’s break the lip filler stigma

So often, a client will come in wanting to look more refreshed and youthful. We’ll talk through treatment options, facial balancing, and subtle enhancements.

But the moment I mention lip filler, there’s hesitation.
I hear the same fears: looking fake, ducky, or vain. And they don't want to be judged.

I completely understand! But here’s what we don’t talk about enough: Lips age. Over time, we naturally lose volume. The lips shrink, the borders soften, and the skin around the mouth begins to collapse. This is a major reason the lower face starts to look older, even if everything else looks great.

When done thoughtfully and conservatively, lip filler isn’t about bigger lips. It’s about restoring structure, supporting the surrounding tissue, and rebalancing the lower face. Subtle revolumization can help you look refreshed, not “done.”
