If you were sitting in my treatment room, these are probably some of the things we’d talk about.

1. Over-exfoliating your skin
If your skin is breaking out, the answer usually isn’t to exfoliate it harder. Using too many acids, scrubs, exfoliating pads, or acne treatments at once can compromise your barrier and create more irritation. I’d rather you use a few intentional actives consistently than throw everything at your skin at once.

2. Picking/ constantly touching your skin
I know it’s tempting, but picking creates additional inflammation and trauma and increases your chances of lingering pigmentation and scarring. Even outside of picking, pay attention to how often your hands are resting on your face throughout the day.

3. Falling for every new skincare trend
Your skin doesn’t need every product that goes viral. Constantly introducing new products makes it harder to know what’s actually helping, what might be triggering your skin, and whether your current routine has had enough time to work. Boring and consistent is often better for acne prone skin.

4. Using heavily fragranced laundry products
Fragranced detergents, scent boosters, dryer sheets + fabric softeners can leave residue on pillowcases, towels, sheets and clothing that regularly come into contact with your skin. If you’re acne prone or sensitive, I generally prefer keeping laundry products simple and fragrance free.

5. Letting sweat sit on your skin after a workout
But sweat mixed with oil, makeup, skincare and friction can create an environment that isn’t doing acne prone skin any favors. Cleanse your face as soon as possible after your workout, especially if you were wearing makeup or SPF.

You don’t have do everything perfectly in order to clear your acne. But noticing the small things your skin is exposed to every day + creating habits that support it consistently is en essential part of the process. 🖤

A little September Update — fall treatments, a Labor Day weekend treat + a few studio updates 09/04/2026

Hi loves,

September always feels like the beginning of a shift.

We may not be getting true fall weather in Vegas quite yet, but this is usually when I start thinking about transitioning the skin out of summer and into treatments that focus a little more intentionally on repair, renewal, and long term skin health.

If your skin is feeling like it needs a reset after summer, here are two treatments I’ll be reaching for a lot more over the next few months.

Microneedling

One of my favorite treatments for anyone thinking about their skin long term.

Microneedling works with your skin’s natural healing response to stimulate collagen production and support concerns like acne scarring, texture, fine lines, and overall skin quality.

I especially love it as a series when correcting skin conditions and behaviors, but it’s also something I incorporate into maintenance plans for clients who simply want to support healthy looking skin as it ages.

Chemical Peels

Peel season is coming ♡

Chemical peels can be incredibly versatile depending on what your skin needs. Whether we’re working on acne, congestion, pigmentation, texture or signs of sun damage.

As we move away from the height of summer, this is when I start incorporating more corrective peels into treatment plans while, of course, keeping daily SPF non-negotiable.

Not sure which treatment makes sense for you? You never have to figure that out on your own. We can decide together based on what your skin is doing right now.

A little Labor Day treat

If you’ve been needing to restock your routine (or there’s something we’ve been talking about adding), this weekend is a good time. ♡

A few studio notes

New Cancellation Policy

As my practice continues to grow, I’m making a small update to my cancellation policy to better protect the time reserved specifically for each client.

Beginning October 1st, cancellations or reschedules made less than 48 hours before an appointment will be charged 50% of the scheduled service.

Cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours before an appointment, as well as no-shows, will be charged 100% of the scheduled service.

The updated policy will be available for you to review and sign at your upcoming appointments before it takes effect.

Thank you for respecting my time and the little practice I’ve worked so hard to build. It means more than you know. ♡

Out of Office

I’ll be away from the studio September 23–27th.

Appointments surrounding those dates may be a little more limited than usual, so if you know you’re due around that time, I recommend booking ahead.

Take care of your skin + enjoy the last little bit of summer.

xo,
Sace

double cleansing duos 🤍🤍

I recommend that almost all of my clients double cleanse at the end of the day.

Think about everything that’s sitting on your skin by nighttime. Sunscreen (usually multiple layers if we’re reapplying like we should), makeup, oil, sweat, pollutants and everything else your skin has come into contact with throughout the day. One quick cleanse isn’t always enough to thoroughly remove all of that.

This is where double cleansing comes in.

Your first cleanse does most of the work of breaking down and removing everything sitting on the surface of your skin. Your second cleanse is actually cleansing your skin and making sure it’s properly cleansed and ready for the rest of your routine.

You don’t necessarily need two different cleansers either. You can cleanse twice with the same one. But these are two of the most popular double cleansing duos amongst my clients in office.

First cleanse: Face Reality Barrier Balance or Mixi Hydra Clean. Both are creamy cleansers that do a great job of breaking down the day without leaving the skin feeling stripped.

Second cleanse: Face Reality Ultra Gentle Gel or Mixi Clean. Both give you that thorough second cleanse while still being gentle on the skin.

If you’re still relying on a makeup wipe or hoping one quick cleanse got everything off, try double cleansing for a while. You might be surprised by the difference in how clean your skin actually feels and how well the rest of your routine performs.

My lovely client came to me in when her acne had reached a point where she felt like she could no longer figure it out on her own.

We started with biweekly acne bootcamp treatments, a curated, consistent home care routine, and adjusted along the way based on what her skin needed.

Now that her active acne is under control, we’ve shifted our focus.

We’re currently working through a series of microneedling treatments to support collagen remodeling, healing, and soften the appearance of the scarring left behind. Clearing the acne was the first chapter. Now we get to work on what it left behind.

If you’ve been trying to figure your skin out on your own and feel like you’ve hit a wall, you don’t have to keep guessing. We can figure it out together. Book an appointment through the link in my bio to start your journey. 🤍

If your skin is chronically dry, adding more hydrating serums may not be addressing what it’s actually missing.

Dry skin is lipid deficient, meaning it lacks the oil and lipids that help keep the barrier supple, protected, and able to hold onto water. Without enough lipids, water escapes more easily through the skin. This contributes to a process of increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

So the remedy isn’t just more hydration. It’s replenishing what the skin is missing and helping it hold onto the hydration it already has.

Look for lipid replenishing and barrier supportive ingredients like ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids, alongside emollients and occlusives that help reduce water loss.

If you’ve been troubleshooting your routine on your own and can’t seem to get it right, this is something we can address together during your next appointment. 🤍
