✅The number one line of defense is keeping your feet clean and dry and don’t forget in between the toes. So this means washing your feet daily. And I’m not talking just letting the water run down on your feet. Scrub a dub dub! ⁣

✅Wear socks that wick away moisture and wear breathable shoes and try to rotate your shoes daily. ⁣
⁣
✅Avoid walking around barefoot, especially in public places where you can pick up funky stuff.⁣
⁣
Listen, feet sweat…a lot. And it isn’t the sweat that causes the odor it’s bacteria. And bacteria loves warm, moist, dark places like in a shoe. It’s like a buffet and it feeds off the sweat and that is what causes the odor. ⁣

In some cases, there are disease processes or conditions that can cause excess sweating. Foot fungus can also be smelly. It too loves warm,moist, dark places. ⁣
