if your face is dry before you apply your serums MIST. IT. making sure your skin is damp when applying serums or a moisturizer, will ensure that your skin will soak up all those ingredients. i know that sounds backwards, but studies have shown that moist skin is more permeable than dry skin. my favorite facial mist at the moment is skin recovery mist. seriously these hydrating ingredients make me feel like a glazed donut after my skincare routine!

scrubs, brushes, acids & enzymes. these are all types of exfoliants that you can 1000% over. use. depending on your skin type and concern you should exfoliate 2-3 times a week, max. over exfoliating can cause a multitude of unwanted side effects like;
* natural oils will over produce
* striping the skin of its lipid barrier
* micro tears
* hypersensitivity
* acne
i encourage you to take a look at what you use every day & see how many of them include these types of ingredients. do you have oily skin or is your skin just over producing? is this causing acne? do you have sensitive skin because you are stripping your skins natural barriers? the solution to your skin problems could be as simple as checking to make sure you’re not over exfoliating.

chemical peels aren’t only for your face! i’ve been treating my dear friend & fellow student for her KP on her thighs and butt with a 30% glycolic chemical peel from . glycolic is GREAT for KP because of its exfoliating properties & how deep it can pe*****te the skin! this is after 2 peels & it’s already making a huge difference! swipe to see the before🥰

ever wonder why you have the mark after a pimple? well ladies and gents, that’s called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. after any trauma, the skin is triggered to produce melanin by the healing process. this hyperpigmentation is not usually permanent & can last anywhere from 3-24 months. depending on your skin tone & sensitivities it could last longer.
there’s plenty of products & treatments we can do to aid in lightening these dark marks, come and see me for a complete assessment & treatment plan 🥰

say it louder for the people in the back 👏🏻
some of my favorite sunscreens:
- Hydratint spf 36 (a tinted sunscreen for my girls who love a little coverage without wearing foundation)
- Photo Age spf 15 (for my men clients who like a light sunscreen without much fragrance)
- Total Defense & Repair spf 50 (great for post procedure skin for the ultimate protection)
- UV Aero spray spf 45 (if you work outside, don’t forget to spray your hands, neck, shoulders & every freaking else if you want lol)

6 days. this is 6 days after the intense acne treatment and i did on a client. notice in the bottom picture his inflammation is calmed down, the flared up pustules are now post inflammatory hyperpigmentation & the black heads are noticeably reduced. can’t wait to see this client in a couple weeks to do another sessions!
