BEARDS: very popular nowdays and every guy deep down WISHES he could grow one. Well if you can, then I hope you’re getting it shaped frequently. DONT TRY THIS AT HOME. You might feel like you can just “touch” it up but there’s a fine line between a nice solid beard and an at home botch job. beard is growing in solid, I barely took any length off and I tried to keep the shape somewhat natural. With these styles blowdrying is very important. Clients have to understand that naturally hair won’t flow backwards and hold volume by itself. You have to change the hair with water and heat then set with cool air. I still have clients that tell me no one has EVER showed them how to blow dry their hair! That blows my mind that people have been getting haircuts for 25/30years and never have been properly shown how to style their hair. This is most important with new clients. What do you think?

This guy has been coming to me for years now. He’s got his blowdrying techniques down from many styling lessons throughout the haircuts over the years. This should be a main goal for you to teach your clients how to use the blow dryer as well as you do. Do you teach your clients??? 👨🏻‍🏫 ✂️💨

Joe with a classic pompadour cut! Clean, simple and straight forward. Also check out that solid beard he’s rockin, that’s not easy to grow (I can’t grow one like that). I still enjoy doing these classic haircuts. They are timeless and look great in all different situations, can’t go wrong with it🤘✂️

Pomp it upppp 🤘✂️ how y’all are you comfortable taking your pompadour? I tend to go for more volume when styling clients. TIP: It is always easier to tame down volume with products (pomades and pastes) then to BUILD up volume with products. So blow dry to a high amount of volume that might be too much for your client because it’s easier to tame the hair down then to build the hair up. Plus the style/volume will last a lot longer.

I got to chop it up on Saturday. Texturized the heck outta this hair and went for a fun over all look. Left length in the fringe area for movement and versatility and kept the back nice and blended with a slight weight line. This was a rad cut to finish the week. 🤘✂️
