How to say Goodbye to Dry Skin and Hello to Hydrated, Glowing Skin!!!

We have been seeing so many clients experiencing dry skin lately!!
So, here are our favorite tips to combat dryness and get that glowing, hydrated, plump skin!!!

1. Use a Cream Cleanser

Cream cleansers are amazing for hydration and BONUS they are also great for treating anti-aging! We recommend cream cleansers as your AM cleanse and as your second cleanse at night.

**TIP!** Make sure you apply your cream cleanser with *dry hands to a dry face* for best results.

2. Use a Hydrating Serum AM + PM

A hydrating serum is a great way to add extra hydration without any heaviness! Adding in a hydrating serum can also help with texture, appearance of pores, pigmentation, and acne!

3. Exfoliate!

If you have a build up of dead skin, your hydrating products are not going to be as effective! The key when using a physical exfoliant, is to not over exfoliate (1-2 times a week is our recommendation) and to be gentle when massaging them into the skin.

4. Sleep with a Humidifier

Sleeping with a humidifier has a variety of benefits. Humidifiers add moisture to the air, creating an environment that will help you wake up with more hydrated skin. This will be a great tool in addition to your skin care products and will also help alleviate chapped lips! If you live in the desert like we do, trust me, we will take all the help we can get in this dry climate!

5. Swap Out Your Moisturizer for a Balm

It's no surprise that we have to change up our skin care routine depending on the time of year and what our skin is currently experiencing. During the fall and winter months, most people opt for more hydrating products vs during the warmer spring and summer months, people often choose products that are more lightweight.

One of our all time favorite products is the Sheald Recovery Balm. This is a moisturizer but also doubles as a healing and recovery balm. This product is our number one recommendation and a MUST if you are struggling with dry, tight, sensitive, or compromised skin! 6. Stop Over Using Harsh, Drying Products

The number one problem our clients come to us with is experiencing sensitive, dry, and irritated skin. Often times this is caused by not using the right products and over using too many active products (chemically exfoliating products that contain ingredients such as salicylic acid, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, etc).

When the skin doesn't have a healthy foundation, it will become reactive and you will experience a multitude of frustrating symptoms including: dryness, tightness, irritation, stinging, burning, and redness.
