Breaking down this haircut 💓
When my clients ask for a s**g I ask A LOT of why’s, not because I don’t know how to perform the haircut but because we consume A LOT of content and don’t actually know why we like certain things until we break it down.
She wanted more volume, which can be achieved with styling and shorter connected layers.
She wants length, a haircut is only going to make the hair shorter.
Short ass layers in a s**g will only make your hair feel EVEN SHORTER, & bring more texture towards your face,I didn’t want that for her, especially not for a new client. (It’s challenging to see yourself with a lot of texture around your face when your goal is length.)

I also don’t want to disconnect her front to back because she has a lot of curl patterns in the back you can’t see it as much in that after photo but she has tiny ringlets in the bottom which would make the hair soooo disconnected if I gave her a s**g.
