π₯Nutrition for Healthy Hair. and Skin
Hair Care Products can nourish and protect the hair from the outside-in.
The right products can transform an unruly, dull, lifeless head of hair into a shiny, managable mane, you love putting your hands through.
Healthy hair and skin rely on a balanced intake of specific vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats that support structural proteins like collagen and keratin.
Absorption of these important building blocks rely on a smooth running digestive system. When imbalance in the digestive system occurs your hair and skin can't get nutrition it needs to thrive.
Symptoms such as gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, acid reflux, or anxiety, indicates an imbalance in the gut. Restoring gut balance will improve the physical appearance of the hair and skin.
How to balance digestion depends on individual constitution, nutritional needs and lifestyle choices. There are many lifestyle choices that can help the skin, hair and scalp thrive.
Check out the list of core foods below. Do you get enough of these in your diet? Assuming digestion works well, consistently, eating these core foods will give your body the underlying insurance it needs to provide strong, luxurious locks.
π Core Foods for Hair and Skin Health:
π Fatty Fish like salmon, mackerel, or sardines are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which keep skin supple and hydrated. They are also high in protein, vitamin D, and biotin, which support healthy skin, scalp and growth of the hair.
π₯ Avocado is a superfood, high in healthy monounsaturated fats and Vitamin E, an antioxidant that protects skin from oxidative damage.
π₯ Eggs provides a primary source of biotin (Vitamin B7), which is essential for hair growth, nail strength and skin health. They also provide high-quality protein and Vitamin D.
π₯π° Nuts and Seeds such as walnuts, almonds, chia or flaxseeds provide essential fatty acids, zinc, and vitamin E. Brazil nuts are particularly high in selenium, which helps protect the skin from sun damage.
π₯ Sweet Potatoes and Carrots are loaded with beta-carotene, which the body converts into Vitamin A. This nutrient promotes healthy skin cell production and natural hair conditioning through sebum production.
π«π Berries and Citrus fruits like blueberries, oranges, and kiwis are examples of foods packing a vitamin C punch. Vitamin C is necessary for collagen production working to keep skin firm and hair shafts strong.
π₯¬ Spinach and Kale are examples of leafy greens supplying iron, folate, and Vitamin A. Iron is critical for preventing hair thinning and brittle nails.

I love working in the salon, especially when I get a client that wants to do a big change! And the best part, she loves her hair and I love her, too! Didn't have as much time to style it up as I would have liked, but the long curtain bangs and long layers looked great without much fuss!

It's been 45 days since I started my new skin ritual. More important than the way my skin is regenerating, is how it makes me feel... beautiful!
Thinning hair can be the symptom of many underlying conditions. The health of the scalp is important to be able to have a healthy head of hair. Hormones and gut health play a major role in the health of the scalp and hair. Cortisol is the master hormone. If cortisol levels keep rising due to emotional and environmental stress, all of the hormone production will be effected. Want to make a plan to get your hair healthier than it has ever been? Text me to make a consultation appointment with some suggestions to move forward. Feeling like your scalp could need a detox? Add a scalp detox/scalp massage to any haircut for an additional $20. I also offer the scalp detox with scalp massage for $35 and up depending on length of hair and styling requirements.

Most of you know I am a die-hard Nuema products fan. It's hard to find products that are clean and actually support the health of your hair and scalp.Nuema wasn't the cleanest, but it worked well and became a favorite with many of my clients. A few days ago I tried a new Haircare System and, I've fallen in love! I was so excited about the results, I used it on my clients the next day in the salon. I used it on clients with different textures and length of hair with beautiful results. My experience with the product was delightful! I noticed my hair already felt better after shampooing. Normally, it would be more tangled before conditioner. It even looked and felt good the next day without much fuss. I didn't use any other products to style when using on my clients or myself, except maybe a texture cream for short styles. Spoiler allert! The unique ingredients in the Haircare System formula improve the health of the hair and scalp and there are testimonials showing how some with thinning hair were growing their thinning hair back. Meanwhile, the product increases the density of the hair to appear fuller and improve it's appearance in the meantime. If you would like more information, please leave a comment. This company also makes clean anti-aging skincare line that I am loving! Stay tuned for more on that later!
