Custom built ins for new build
3/4" MDF for the cabinets and bench carcass with custom reclaimed wood top.
Soft close hinges for the 8' cabinet doors with custom border inlay to match the kitchen cabinet design.

Calling this the haggard look.
Sho Sugi Ban on bug rotted maple covered with milk paint in Stoneware. Lightly sanded to reveal some character.

Reclaimed Floating Shelf
The beams used for this shelf came from renovations done in this cottage last summer.. Old growth pine or fir used for rafters. Swipe to the end to see their previous state.
Finished using Dark Half & Half (citrus solvent & tung oil) for an all natural finish. Will take a couple weeks to fully cure.

1 of 2 identical birch plywood and hard maple toy boxes.
Stained classic gray with a water-based poly top coat.
Self supporting hinges from keep the lid open at any angle (perfect for keeping fingers unpinched).
Lettering cut out on my CNC out of 1/2" MDF and spray painted black.
Little Spidey says it's the perfect height to launch his attacks at the green goblin from.

Solid Walnut End Grain Butcher Block

New hardwood ash tops with ebony stain and water based poly to add some counter space. Drawers modified to allow for power cords to all run through and out of the cabinet for better cable management.
