This is a different and lowkey birthday for me. I’ve been reflecting on all the things that have changed this past year and I’m just in awe of Gods grace and favor in my life. Keep pressing y’all! You’re never too “old” for it to all turn around! #45

My baby Ajah is getting married yall.
As a girl dad, you always know that one day she will grow up and start a life of her own, BUT there’s that protection instinct that dwells on the inside that makes it hard to accept. When My son in law to be came to me to ask my daughters hand in marriage I knew I could trust him with her heart. He’s always been a great guy, but has grown into an AMAZING man that literally treats my baby just as she should be; like a queen! This guy went all out yall!!! I’m excited for this journey as they start their lives… and even more excited to have gained a son. The cost of this wedding is another story 😉😂.

There are those moments in your life that are key and a pivotal and as you’re experiencing it, you don’t even have a clue how it’s going to change your entire life! This job was that kind of week! No one knows how many things I dropped when and contacted me to do . It was THEEEE most inconvenient and scary time in my life, but that call was my hearts prayer (and cry) for so long that I wasn’t letting anything get in the way of me saying yes. HELL YES, Even. I went knowing that it would be the usual; me not fitting in, me having severe anxiety but grinning to bare it, and being around other hairstylists/barbers that want to just compete and not empower. OH MAN WAS I WRONG!
With grace and ease, was running things and instantly sensed not only my talent but also that I needed reassurance. Then, after a snarky comment from me, and I instantly became the will and grace of TPS! She actually FORCED me to be more engaging and that’s how I met my “twin” who was running background like the military! Who meets their first time on set?! Long story short, we cannot get there alone and this one shot has given me so many more opportunities, prompted me to move and is one of the many reasons I know God is real. It was nothing short of magical… it gave me a place to belong and renewed not only my faith, but my career. Thank you all from the bottom of my ❤️
