Marigold madness

I have such a love for marigolds right now. 🧡 their vibrant golden tone, how such a beautiful flower can symbolize happiness and the sun, but also be a symbol for mourning and it’s been said that deceased souls can follow their scent 🧡 I’m absolutely obsessed with how this marigold inspired color came out 😍 as always, for the paint, and to keep the hairs interegrity, followed by for styling 🧡

Butterflies & moths have always been a true love of mine. And for so many reasons. Did you know, that their wings are made of teeny tiny scales? Like shingles in a roof, they individually form their beauty. Mother nature knew what she was doing when she created such magnificent creatures. Butterflies have always symbolized transformation, and when I do hair, I look at each strand as an individual scale, that combined with the others will create a beautiful story after being transformed.
Butterflies also are so beautiful in life as well as in death. To display them after death, reminds me that what truly makes us beautiful can always linger, no matter what. For butterflies it may be physical, but for us, it’s so much more than that. I have always been fascinated by death, and with preserving the beauty of things that once gave my life meaning, like my Mother’s Day roses hanging in my space. Every piece in my space, is personal. And it’s a constant reminder of the things I find inspiring. Never stop surrounding yourself with what makes you happy & inspires you 🖤

I get asked a lot if the witchyness is just a brand, and I’d like to clarify, that it isn’t. I began practicing my craft 15 years ago. I chose to use it in my brand because color formulating for me truly feels like I’m creating a potion in my kitchen, and I wanted my space to feel close to home. Tomorrow is my brothers funeral, & Thursday is his burial.
I will be radio silent the next couple days but wanted to share the info in case anyone of our friends wanted to go. All are welcome to come 🖤
