These post seem to never get easier, but this time is very official… we’re no longer in business after today.

When you see this it’ll be our last day of business for The River Hut. We’ve enjoyed the past 5 years getting to serve y’all. We’ve met the most amazing customers who are now more like family to us 🩷

These last 5 years have been beautiful crazy! Y’all have watched us grow from two ambitious woman with a goal to make this business a beautiful little “mom and pop shop” type feel just with a mother + daughter duo behind it. The stories we could and have told from all these years serving y’all are some good ones. I’ve had my fair share of cries over the past couple of weeks. I thought moving our stuff out was hard until we started saying our goodbyes to those of you still tanning with us 😭

I was just an anxious 23 year old trying to find her path in life without knowing I would get to do half a decade of God’s plan for me with my mom by my side. Then not even just a year later you’d all get to watching me become a mother… I got to see y’all love my babies just as you love your own and most importantly supported us through thick and thin.

I can never thank the ones of y’all who have prayed for us, stayed late while I locked up with the kids, called/text to check on us, brought us lunch and so much more. We love y’all all more than you can ever imagine and don’t think you’re done seeing us forever because we got your numbers! 🤪

We ask for those who have prayed for us recently to please continue to pray for my Granny as the next couple of months transition are gone be hard on her as change is hard on everyone, but extremely hard on those with dementia…

Again thank you all so much for loving us and we pray God bless you in abundance.

We know everyone lovesss the fair while it’s here and wants to get all the goodies before their gone as well as ride til they can’t no more! We cant’t blame ya’ll🤪We can’t forget about all the fall festival fun going on too!! All that to say this is our hours for the week the fair is in town, the 21st-24th 🥰

Tuesday-Friday
10:30am-6pm, we take our last walk-in by 5:30pm.

I’ll keep it short and sweet because this is a hard post to write. We come to you with a heavy hearted decision that’s been consistently prayed over, in our every thought, multiple lengthy conversations and it’s absolutely not been made lightly.

We will be selling the tanning salon.

When you see this post there will already be a marketplace advertising of it that will be shared on our business page tomorrow morning. Mom and I are just both in are different season of our lives now than we were when starting in 2020, our family has grown as most already know and our presence is needed more at home than it used to be. We’re both so grateful for this opportunity God has given us, the supportive customers who’ve became family in our eyes, and the valuable lessons learned through this journey. We feel as though the business has suffered some due to the inability to be as fully devoted as we were in the start. That is and was never our intentions to have the store not have our full devotion as it’s been one of our great blessings we embarked on together. I mean who can say they go to work with their best friend and mom everyday? Needless to say we want to do what’s best for y’all as well as our family by stepping away from the business we’ve grown thus far to allow it to continue to prosper the way we know God has intended for it too. Unfortunately, as much as we’ve fought this decision it’s just not with us anymore... There is a season in life for everything and we get that. It just comes with great heartache on our part to leave our built family and beloved business behind to embark on God’s new chapter for us. After all the prayers we’ve prayed he’s left us with the verse in our hearts of Jeremiah 29:11🤍

We will be as transparent as can be with the coming new ownership and will announce here once it’s taken place. Our hopes is to make this as seamless of a transition as we possibly can for everyone and we promise to keep updated information provided to all current customers about purchasing new packages during ownership change.

Lastly, I just want to assure y’all there won’t be a day that goes by we won’t miss y’all once we leave! We hope that some of y’all we grew such a close connection with will add us on our personal Facebooks to be able to still keep in touch. I truly pray y’all can extend us grace and kindness during this process as this is a really big change for our family 💔😭
