From the beginning, we knew that creating Curly Gurl Luv was an act of defiance ✊🏾💥. That for those in our community who have often been mistreated and ignored in the beauty space, this space would bring joy and hope 💕🌱.

That others would be upset that a couple of young, early 30-sumthin year olds, would dare to create a Black-owned beauty supply 🖤👑💄. And with 2 kids under the age of two 👶🏾👶🏾!

Within the first weeks of opening, we were review-bombed by people that didn’t want us shaking things up 🚫⭐😤. Still, we showed up. We built. We served ✨💪🏾.

We’ve received so many touching messages from this beautiful Community expressing how much Curly Gurl Luv meant to you all.🥰✨

We are also deeply grateful to everyone who’s shared the impact we made, expressed that our presence will be missed, and let us know you’ll be praying for us in this next chapter 🙏🏾💖.

While our doors are closed 🚪, our commitment to seeing Black-owned beauty supply stores thrive in this industry remains ✨🖤.
