I love learning about skin, watching facial videos, trying new techniques, connecting with clients, and helping people feel confident.

Yes, running a business is a lot of work. There are long days and plenty of behind-the-scenes work.

But because I’m so passionate about what I do, it often feels like play and not so much work. My job is a creative outlet for me.

I make time to rest and recharge, but I feel incredibly grateful that I get to spend my days doing something I genuinely enjoy 🤍

Everyone say hi to nurse Kait!

Kait is a nurse practitioner, a horse-riding baddie, and a mom of two doggies Bruce and Lola.

She’s been a nurse since 2014 and nurse practitioner since 2021. She is our clinical director and has been working hard over the last month training with me to start offering Aerolase treatments! She’s here at Mikura on select Sunday and Tuesday mornings. ✨

I am so happy to have her join my team and excited for you all to meet her 🤍🤍🤍

The name Mikura is deeply personal to me. 🤍

I created it by combining the last two letters of my first name with the first four letters of my last name. It’s a little piece of me that’s woven into everything we do.

In Japanese, mi (実) means beauty, and kura (倉) means cellar. While I didn’t choose the name because of its literal meaning, I love what those words represent: beauty, intention, and taking the time to care for things properly. That philosophy has shaped Mikura from the very beginning.

In Japan, craftsmanship is often measured by patience rather than speed. While American culture often celebrates immediacy, at Mikura we believe some things are worth taking time for. Real results aren’t rushed.
