✨Community Childers Center ✨ on
🟣Sunday March 8th from 10-12:30 🟡
Community Children’s Center, has over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality early education to children experiencing poverty and trauma in Lawrence and Douglas County, Kansas.
They aim to improve social-emotional competence and school readiness for young children and their families experiencing economic, educational, and social challenges.
This event will include haircuts for kids ages 2-13 years old. We need licensed cosmetologist and barbers to cut hair from 10-12:30 on Sunday March 8th. Lunch and beverages will be provided.

This year we have two back-to-school haircutting events.
On Sunday July 27th we are partnering with DCCCA for new-do’s-for-back-to—school, we will be cutting hair from 11-3 and on
Saturday August 9th we are cutting hair at the second annual kids expo where will be cutting hair from 9-1 .

With the school season coming to an end, this is the perfect time to start planning for Haven for Haircuts back to school haircutting event! 💇♀️💇
This year will be a little different, we are excited to 📣announce 📣that we have partnered up with the Lawrence Public School District to be a part of their first Annual Kids Expo!
The Kids Expo will be a free event for the community where families and children are able to participate in a wide variety of creative activities while learning about Lawrence Public Schools and community services, educational programs, businesses, and extracurricular activities. 📚🏫✏️
For this event Haven for haircuts is looking for 10 license ✂️cosmetologist and barbers 💈to volunteer their time to cut hair from 9-1 on ✨SATURDAY AUG 10th ✨

I finally got to take my first curlology class. I have been wanting to take this class for so long. Thank you for all your knowledge and such a fun and informative class!
🗣Calling All Stylists!🗣💥
Haven for Haircuts is joining with the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence for the THRID back to school haircutting event! Last year was such a huge success that we just had to do it again!
We are looking for just 2 licensed barbers/ or men’s cutting specialists to volunteer 3hrs of their time to help our youth community feel confident going back to school this year.
Event Details:
* Sunday Aug 13th from 10-1
* We will be asking licensed stylists/ Barbers to sign up for the full three hour event. We are are scheduling two haircuts per hour which will be a total of six haircuts.
* Lunch (Pizza & salad ) will be generously be provided by Big Mill.
This event will be inclusive for all hair types!
Volunteering is such a fulfilling way to help your community, I hope you can find a few hours of your time to volunteer for this event: it’s totally worth it !
