To say today was a big day would be an understatement. Today we welcomed the 5th generation of the Amyx family into the barber business. Rock is the newest addition to the Downtown Barber family. He is Jays oldest son and Jon’s oldest grandson. The gentleman in his chair was the first person who has had their haircut by all 5 generations over his lifetime Dave thanks for being a lifelong customer and friend to the Amyx family. You are always welcome in this shop. To everyone else come down and check Rock out. He is more than happy to help you out.

We are experiencing some difficulties with our internet, and website. It has stalled out our waitlist capabilities. Until we can restore and resolve this situation we will be walk in only. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

“Update” Jons surgery went extremely well. He is already up walking around and heads home today to start the recovery process. We will keep everyone posted on his potential return to the barbershop. He will be back cutting hair and talking your ears off before we know it. Now he can just dance and cut hair. Show off that new hip a bit. Thanks for everyone’s posts to him. It means a lot.

“IMPORTANT” Jon is having a hip surgery and will not be at the barbershop for some time. We are hoping to have him back sometime in mid to late march depending on his recovery. He loves what he does and servicing each and every one of you, however this has to be done to be able to continue his career. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers. We will notify everyone again when he is back. Until then the rest of the staff is more than capable to assist you. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
