After last week’s American Massage Therapy Association - AMTA National Convention, continuing education, Assembly of delegates meeting, Government Relations Chair appointment and the Best of Lawrence Winner’s Bash this week, just wow. What a busy, chaotic but very impactful 10 days!

I’m incredibly honored, humbled, and honestly a little speechless to share that I was voted 1st Place – Best Massage Therapist and the business was voted 3rd Place – Best Massage Therapy Practice!! And if you know me, you know I don’t take either of these recognitions lightly. 🥹

I’ve been practicing massage therapy in this community for 12 years, and while I’ve always done it part-time, this little business has become such a meaningful part of my life. It has given me the opportunity to meet some truly incredible people, help others and do something I genuinely love.

To everyone who took the time to vote for me, recommend me, share my posts, or cheer me on along the way—thank you. Every vote and every kind word means more than you know.

To my amazing clients, thank you for continuing to choose me and allowing me to be a small part of your wellness journey. I’m so grateful for the relationships we’ve built over the years and for the trust you place in me every time you walk through my door.

And to my friends and family who have supported not only this business, but me, through all of the different journeys life has taken me on—thank you. You’ve cheered me on through the good, the hard, the unexpected, and everything in between.

And then there are these two…my parents, who have always been my biggest cheerleaders. They’ve supported me, encouraged me, believed in me, and shown up for me in more ways than I could ever count. Having them there to celebrate this moment with me made it even more special.

I also want to congratulate every nominee and every business recognized. There are so many incredibly talented people in Lawrence, and I’m especially excited to celebrate my fellow clients and friends who were nominated and recognized in other categories. You all deserve to be celebrated! 👏🏼

✨ A pretty exciting chapter in my massage therapy journey! ✨

I recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Denver, Colorado to represent Kansas as an elected delegate for the AMTA Kansas Chapter at the American Massage Therapy Association - AMTA National Convention and Assembly of Delegates.

Being elected to represent my fellow Kansas massage therapists was such an honor. I had the opportunity to connect with massage therapists from across the country, participate in important conversations about our profession, and learn more about the issues and opportunities shaping the future of massage therapy.

And I’m not done learning! 💆‍♀️📚 I’m currently taking multiple continuing education courses to continue expanding my knowledge and skills so I can keep providing the best possible experience and care for my clients.

I’m also incredibly excited (and a little humbled!) to share that I’ve been appointed as the Government Relations Chair for the AMTA Kansas Chapter. In this role, I’ll have the opportunity to become more involved in advocacy and legislation affecting massage therapists and our profession here in Kansas.

From hands-on work in my massage room to representing our profession at the state and national level, I’m grateful for every opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to something I truly love.
