I myself have been an artist for 28 years, I was a trainer for the top brands and I am also in the union for tv/film for makeup Those artist charging anything under 100 dollars typically are makeup enthusiast with no professional training & No idea of skin concerns or color theory. It doesn’t take from their artistry, but it does take from proper ways of cleaning and sanitation while doing makeup. Cleanliness of their kits during actual makeup applications. What happens if a client has a reaction to something they didn’t know they were allergic too. Also the quality of products used. For example. If I am paying 50 dollars for a foundation and the same for a powder why would I charge 85 dollars to do a full face? As a artist we all start somewhere.
