Did I over-file my nail beds and give myself a big-ol' "ring of fire?" Nope! I just didn't file the darker builder gel all the way down to the base coat before I filled with a lighter color. (CND Plexigel milky mauve and spiced taffy if it matters.) 😅 Lesson learned. Some not-sheer polish will cover this right up. I need to pick up the clear builder so I can have a clear base and avoid this in the future.

When I did these a week ago, I didn't know they'd be First Lady color. Looks like Dr. Chipman and Dr. Biden had similar taste this cold winter January. Gelish Up In the Blue topped with Water Field.

Shellac Red Baroness was beautiful as always, but Serene Green took 4 coats to become opaque. 😕 At least they look nice together. Merry Christmas!

This is a first : I think my rep came by while I wasn't home.
I'm geeking out a bit today: I posted a comment on one famous nail educator's article in Nails Magazine online, and another famous nail educator replied to my comment (adding to it, not correcting it). I'm kind of part of a conversation that includes Holly Schippers and Doug Schoon. 😱😍😇 I fangirled just a bit, and my kids laughed at me. But I stick by my scientific geekiness, thank you very much!
