Genitourinary syndrome of menopause is not a new diagnosis but the American Urology Association came out with guidelines today for this. It is treatable and symptoms are preventable using vaginal estrogen. Very safe and effective. Comment below or send me a DM if you have any questions.
IUDs can be helpful for birth control, menstrual abnormalities, and used in peri and postmenopausal patients for hormone replacement therapy. Little risk with lots of benefits. Can be uncomfortable to place but lots of options to reduce pain during the procedure. Check out nitrous oxide as an option. Game changer!
