Yesterday was about so much more than haircuts. ✂️🤍

I had the opportunity to spend part of my day at The NEST Empowerment Center, offering complimentary haircuts to some incredible young people in our community.

As a hairstylist, it’s easy to think of what I do as simply cutting, coloring, and styling hair—but days like this remind me that this career can mean so much more. A haircut can be confidence. It can be connection. It can be a moment where someone gets to sit down, feel cared for, laugh, talk, and leave feeling a little more like themselves.

What stood out to me most was the atmosphere at The NEST. Their space is built around community, support, creativity, and giving young people somewhere they can feel welcome. One of the signs on the wall said it perfectly: “Because it feels like home.”

I’m incredibly grateful that I was able to contribute something I know how to do and spend time with such an awesome group of people. There were plenty of haircuts, smiles, laughs, and even a few high-fives along the way. 🥹

As I continue building this next chapter of my career and VANTA Beauty Lounge, I want giving back to remain part of what my business represents. Beauty isn’t only about how someone looks when they leave your chair—it’s also about how you make them feel while they’re sitting in it.
