ATTENTION everyone: Long emotional post. It is with a heavy heart and a lot of consideration between family and doctors that I have come to this decision. Unfortunately I will not be reopening my salon. Effective today it will be closed down. I know this decision will anger/upset many. Please know that it is a very hard choice I had to make. My medical has not been getting any better. And after my apt today with the spine surgeon I am at point that I either make the choice myself or my medical is going to force it. I am extremely heartbroken. I can’t thank you all enough for all the years you have provided me. The support is unbelievable. I’m happy to reccomend another stylist if needed. Again I am so sorry that I will no longer be able to work behind the chair.

June 1 is my return date to the salon. With that being said there are some changes and rules that will be in place. I understand that not all are required by state however for my medical situation it will be required for my salon by me.
1.) you will have your temp taken at door
2.) you will be asked questions about travel fever and covid 19. If you answer yes you will be asked to reschedule
3.) there will be a waiver to read and sign
4.) I’ll need your name and contact for tracking purposes
5.) you and I will both be required to wear a mask for the entire service
6.) you will be required to sanitize hands upon entering and leaving
7.) I will not be offering blow dry services, waxing, or children’s cuts
8.) you must come alone to your appointment and wait outside/ in car until I am ready for you as I will need to sanitize and prepare for you
9.) there won’t be any drinks or magazines available
10.) IF you FEEL sick, coughing, or FEVER please do not come. Reschedule. I am an at risk person that asks that you not take the chance of getting me sick.
I understand there are a lot of rules and services that I will not be offering and that other salons will. If you feel as though these rules are to much or that I can’t provide the services you are wanting due to my specific rules I understand and encourage you to try another salon that does not have medical restrictions. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. I’m hoping that rules can lighten over time. And again I know what the phase we are in and what rules go for each phase however my personal medical conditions dictate the rules and restrictions I chose to follow.

Long post: Just a couple words as we all either mourn or celebrate the extension of the stay at home order. I know many are already planning their return to work or their much anticipated trip to the salon. I’ve had lots of messages about appointments. I have been racking my brain on what and how to handle that and what it will look like to return. I do not have an answer that will make everyone happy. Unfortunately there is no fair way to work it. My suggestions to you are to go online to my VagaroPro sight and book there if you want to secure an apt time. I do not have any plans of rescheduling anything until a for sure date is set. Side note as this all has affected me differently than other salons. I will not be running to open my doors the minute they lift the stay at home order!!! To be clear it’s not that I don’t want to. 1.) I am immune suppressed by three medications. 2.) I am scheduled an infusion just before that order allows us to open. (May 4 ). 3.) I plan on keeping up with minimal contact for as long as reccomended. (Meaning I won’t be able to do multiple people at once). I do not plan on killing myself by working 24/7 either as those that know me know my body will not allow that. I plan to give everything I can and return when I am cleared by doctors to. I understand this might come as a frustration to many and I get it ya gotta do what ya gotta do. At the end of the day if I don’t have my health y’all won’t have me!!! Stay safe and blessed and I look forward to seeing you all when allowed. I will keep everyone posted with my return date as well. Once again thank you so much for the continued support and love!!!

To all my fabulous clients. Obviously y’all have heard the news by now. We have officially been shut down until April 24!!! (Tentatively) As much as I would love to reschedule everyone it seems counter productive at this point. I’m thinking the best course of action right now is to wait this out and as soon as We get cleared to go back into work I will start the overwhelming task of rescheduling everyone that I can!!! This is a very hard time for us small salon owners right now. And I have to say we appreciate all the support and patience you have given. Hairdressers are very resilient and man we might be caddy with one another but when crisis comes we unite and support one another. I have faith that we will all get thru this. PLEASE stay home for the time they suggest so it’s not a longer period of time. We can’t afford to stay closed for longer because you couldn’t keep your butts indoors. Lord knows y’all got enough TP!!! Use this time to bind with your family. For those of us that have lost loved ones we know time is precious so don’t waist this time you’re given. The rest will work itself out. Be kind to one another and let’s kick this virus.

It’s been a very difficult decision to make. However it is with a heavy heart that I take the first step for others. Because I have had a few cancellations already due to contact of the virus 🦠 I believe it is time for me to put my health first and suspend shop appointments until March 31 when I resume regularly scheduled appointments. I know that this comes as a disappointment and inconvenience to a lot of you but if I catch it, it becomes a huge disservice for me as I won’t be able to service you all at all. For those that have appointments this week and next I will be getting in contact to reschedule. You are welcome to reach out to me as well. I know some stylists are staying open and hanging on till the last moments. Unfortunately with my heath situation I just can’t take that risk. I thank you all for your loyalty but also understand completely if you need to cheat!!! I get it. Stay safe and healthy. This girl is tapping out for now.

Just wanted to do a quick post. Although I am not at freak out hoard everything level bracing for the purge. I do want to post that as of right now my salon is remaining open until mandated to close. With that being said because I am immune suppressed I ask that if you are exhibiting any symptom/ symptoms that you please text and reschedule your appointment! If you show up and have a symptom/symptoms you will be asked to leave and reschedule. I know that allergies are in rare form same with the flu but I would greatly appreciate if you all not risk me getting it as I’m one of the people they keep talking about that has pre existing medical. Please note that I am taking every precaution at the salon to stop the spread of any virus by sanitizing everything regularly! Thank you for your patience and understanding! Your well being is as important as my own.

Starting May 1 you will notice an increase in your bill. No more than $5. Due to increase in product costs, and credit card costs this was the easiest way I saw to help balance the expenses of the shop. Thank you all for your business and understanding!!!

Product is stocked again in the salon. March is around the corner and will start new pricing. I want to stay firm on what I charge as costs are rising and I have been absorbing it myself. I strive to keep reasonable prices on services and product. I’m also looking to add some changes to the salon. Want to take a poll on your thoughts. One what would you all like to see for product lines? What do you think of adding a nail tech or another stylist??? How about giveaways any ideas??? (I.e. nominate someone for make over? Or raffles) what about decor??? Hours of business?? As always I appreciate all of your business!!!
