It’s been a little while since I’ve posted on here so I thought I’d reintroduce myself for new followers.
My name is Katie Misciasci and I have been doing hair since 2022. I work at Poppy & Aster in Downtown Lebanon. I absolutely love anything color related. I have a reading addiction and love true crime. If I am not working more than likely you’ll find me at home or line dancing.
I am a massive advocate for mental health awareness. My job is not just to do your hair. I am here to listen to your life and anything you want to say. My chair is and always will be a safe space.
As of now I am working Mondays and possibly an evening if Monday does not work for you. Occasionally I am in on a weekend. I run sales pretty frequently, specifically for new clients. Currently I am running 15% off on any blonde service and 20% all other color services. I have openings this upcoming Monday, March 23,2026.
I’m so excited to meet new people and see some of my current clients as well.

Today marks two years since I graduated from cosmetology school. A rough and crazy ride, both in school and after graduation. I’ve had setbacks. I’ve compared myself to others in the industry. I’ve taken mental health breaks to make sure I don’t hate my career for a few bad apples. This journey has been beautiful in so many ways. The people I’ve met, both clients and coworkers. The stories I hear while people are in my chair. Knowing I can help someone feel beautiful and confident again.
This career is not easy. There is a lot of competition in this industry. But there is also so much love and growth. I am glad I stuck through during all of the hard times. I’m not going to say it wasn’t rough, that there weren’t times I didn’t want to quit. We’ve all been there. But I’m proud of myself for never giving up. Taking new clients and growing. Taking classes and learning new skills.
