Hey it’s me, Mimi👋🏻 your local esthie bestie! I feel like it’s time to re-introduce myself, it’s been awhile & I have lots of new people following along my journey! Hopefully the song is a good indication of my humor 😂

Let’s get personal!! Since most of my first time clients are taking their pants off for me the first time they meet me, it might help to feel like you know me a little bit before hand 😉

✨ I grew up in Tucson, AZ 🌵 & moved to Oregon when I was 19 🌲
✨ My 👨🏻 & I are high school sweethearts, we are celebrating 10 years in January!
✨ I have 2 fur babies, a 12 yo Aussie named Pilot & a 20lb orange tabby Cheech.
✨ My big 3 are: 🌞 Cancer, 🌚 Pisces, ⬆️ Cancer. We’re reaaaally watery over here 🥹
✨I have been an Esthetician for 7️⃣ years, I originally wanted to go to school to be in counseling or therapy of some kind.. (doing what I do is way more fun & it’s like therapy for you & me 👍🏻)

It happens so often that someone is lying on my treatment table and they start to apologize. They’re sweating, they think their hair is too long, they talk about their weight etc. or I will get a text message with something starting with TMI but…. 🙅🏻‍♀️

I’m here to drop some facts, all of these things are completely normal!! & as your waxer I promise you, the only thing going through our minds during your wax is getting you hair free, the quickest and most painless possible. We are there to get a job done, and make you feel safe & comfortable while doing it.

Don’t let any of these intrusive thoughts hold you back from getting waxed! If you are currently getting waxed and these things pop into your head, tell that little voice inside to SCRAM 😼

🔥How to prepare for a brazilian wax🔥

• Letting your hair grow out to be at least the length of a grain of rice will ensure the most hair is able to be removed. Longer is okay too and if any trimming needs to be done, I will do that at your appointment. Pre trimming yourself can result it taking off too much or making it too short!

• Taking a warm shower and exfoliating will loosen up your pores and remove any dead skin cells holding onto your hairs. The hair will come out a lot easier and less clean up strips will be necessary, which means you will be in and out much faster!

• Staying away from working out, alcohol and caffeine will help to reduce pain and sensitivity during your wax. The nerves will be more sensitive to your hairs being ripped out

• Taking a pain reliever or using numbing cream 45 min before your appointment can put you at ease if you’re nervous about the pain level. Ask your esthetician if they have numbing cream for purchase which you can pick up to be ready for appointment day. Keep in mind the pain becomes less and less with every appointment as your hair gets softer & finer, as well as less dense.

PRO TIP: Get at least 3 Brazilains before deciding if it is for you or not. The hair growth cycle is about 12 weeks. After one wax we may not be able to get every last hair because there are hairs in different growth cycles. Every 4-6 weeks as you get waxed you will notice those growth patterns start to sync up and you will have less breakthrough growth and you will be staying smoother longer!
