Amika Smoothing Treatment- this smoothing treatment is formulated without formaldehyde or protein (plus, no harsh smell!) instead it uses water lily extract, sea buckthorn, and glyoxylic acid, an organic acid compound that restructures keratin in the hair cortex to smooth while increasing shine and manageability. When heat is applied to the hair, the glyoxylic acid creates a hydrophobic barrier. Think of it like a raincoat for your strands, temporarily blocking humidity. It’s safe to use on color treated hair, but you have to wait 2 weeks before and after the treatment to color your hair💜
