Only a week or so late but we had an amazing Thanksgiving with family!! Soo thankful for the yearly tradition of having the Blattners here and this year we got to have Jordan’s parents too…it’s been a long time since they were in town for thanksgiving!!!! No pics but finished the day off with Jordans aunt and uncle joining us for dessert.

That just started out the weekend but we fillled it with Black Friday shopping, first haircut for Brooklyn Mae, haircuts for the big girls (with lots of length taken off) and tons of late night chats/little girls playing with the toys!!! Ended the weekend thinking of Brooke turning 16!!! Always one of my favorite weekends of the year and missing everyone after they left.

Mr Hottie and I had the privilege tonight to attend the gala. This organization changed our lives about 6 years ago and tonight we got to support some of “our kids” (aka pro deo alumni) as they shared how Pro Deo changed their lives!!!! These kids nailed it tonight and helped raise lots of money for an organization that is doing AWESOME things here in Lees Summit. Even though we now work with the alumni, we wouldn’t have “our kids” each month hanging at our house without this great teen community center. Soo sooo sooo proud of these kids tonight…they shared from their hearts and now many more kids will get to have the opportunity to have a place to go and feel loved!!

11/11/11…11 years ago today Mr Hottie and I met in person for the first time!!! Those 3 hours at 54th Street in Independence changed my life forever!! Wow crazy it’s been so long and yet hard to remember before! #11

Favorite Saturday of the month…Pro Deo Alumni night…or as we call them “our kids!” Super low key tonight but that didn’t stop us from laughing til we were crying, lots of cuddles (and crawling) from sweet baby M and even Captain American stopped by to see us!! These kids are changing the world for the better and we are sooo super proud of each of them!!

Happy Heavenly 70th Birthday, Dad!!! Hard to believe we’ve not been able to celebrate you in person for 10 years. We did all the things you would love today…pizza, chiefs game, and a fall drive through the lakes!! Miss you soo much but will always carry on your love for Jesus!

As I ran into therapy this morning (of course late!), I wore my new sweatshirt from that reminds me “I’m a big deal” and “I can do hard things”. It’s taken me 3 years of therapy, learning so much about myself, crying more tears than I knew possible, retraining my brain to think differently (still working on this) and lots of encouragement from my counselors and Mr Hottie, that I can finally say these words!!! And friends, you can love Jesus and still know your a big deal…cause YOU are a FREAKING huge deal to me and to Jesus!! So, even though it’s hard, go work on yourself. Going to therapy isn’t weak or that you don’t trust Jesus enough…therapy has made my relationship with Jesus soo much better…and I also have learnt “I can do hard things!”

Family weekend in Arkansas for the oldest nieces HOCO…who is the BEST mascot for her school AND they got to play in University of Arkansas stadium! Loreli, had the best fans and we loved she came into the stands to see us! Saturday brought all the things hair related. It was my absolute privilege to get to be the first stylist to color .worley hair and then do a specialty style for her dress up evening!! My auntie heart got some filling up this weekend. Today, we came home for our dear friends, 17 year olds funeral, and were reminded to be thankful for each time we get to spend with family and friends!!

Some days it can be sunny, cloudy, and rainy all in the same day. But the flower still blooms!!! 💞🌺

Best Saturday of each month!! Tonight we played a game and laughed til we were in tears. These kids made my night as it’s been a long week dealing with chronic illness crap…they brighten our world more than they will ever know! We love them and are soo proud of each one of them!
