Facts: I am not good at social media, I forget about it and then remember and then forget again because....life! But we are still here helping fight the good fight to better skin 🩷

Dear friends and clients. I am devastated and heartbroken that my 78 year old mom was diagnosed with end-stage ovarian cancer and abdominal carcinoma after a visit to the ER last week..She has been tired and eating less heartily for a couple of months but was doing basically ok per her doctors, playing bingo and going to 'fit club' and enjoying time with her many friends and beloved dog Pearl in her community a week ago. She is in pain and discomfort and seems to be declining rapidly. This is so fast and unexpected due to her active nature and otherwise good health, but this particular cancer is silently insidious until it makes itself known. She also is in the middle stages of Alzheimer's...thankfully I am so amazingly lucky that she still knows me as her daughter. I am reeling from the news and soul-crushing grief I am suffering. I have the honor of taking care of her and therefore will not be accepting any appointments in the clinic until further notice so that I can have every moment, every kiss, every loving word and hold her hand on the last leg of her earthly journey.

Our other Master Esthetician Laily will be available for non-acne appointments and maintenance treatments on cleared clients only as well as product pickups. Please email [email protected] or text the clinic phone number or use online booking via our website to book appointments/request products.

Acne clients actively working towards clearing will be contacted about options going forward as soon as I am able. I also will provide a wonderful referral to any new clients that are searching for support in getting their acne under control

Well, this one is only a partial myth...yes, if a person is acne prone and uses an SPF that contains pore-clogging ingredients or the skin is sensitive to chemical SPF it can definitely contribute to breakouts and/or irritation that mimics acne. There is hope though and there are options formulated without these pesky ingredients.

SPF is an important part of anyone's routine and very important for acne prone skin. The dark spots left after a breakout can become more apparent and stick around a lot longer when exposed to the sun!!

Opt for a light -weight, mineral based broad spectrum SPF that is free of fragrance and pore-clogging ingredients. Sometimes it is a matter of trial and error to find the product that works for your skin. We can help! This one is a very common myth and I hear it constantly from new clients. Did you know that UVA rays contribute to not only our risk of skin cancer but to most of the aging we do in our lifetimes? These rays are present in indoor lighting and come through windows in our homes and cars. Clouds do not block the UV rays that cause aging/wrinkles and skin cancer so it is still just as important to use your SPF on a cloudy day or when staying indoors. Make SPF a regular part of your routine 365 days a year...and don't forget to reapply! Your future self will thank you 🥰

Cosmetics don’t last forever! I know it can be difficult to part with them, but products do degrade. Most ultimately start collecting bacteria and other yuckies as the preservatives break down, lose moisture, oxidize, etc. Some things such as foundations, bronzers, highlighter, blush and other ‘face’ makeup can also can start causing breakouts if it gets too old! Ditch it! Dont forget to check out acne safe makeup. My favorite is and formulated just for acneic skin but works beautifully on anyone and super clean :) DM me for details or to order!
