We are very excited to announce that Governor Northam has given approval to re-open Northern Virginia for business today, May 29. The calls have already started coming in asking when we can begin taking appointments and we are very excited to announce that we will begin serving our wonderful clients as of TUESDAY, JUNE 2. As you might recall, on March 16 we announced the temporary closures of our location in order to ensure the health and safety of our team members, members, guests, and the communities we serve. We want to thank all of our wonderful members who have stuck with us through this period!

We’re sure you’re wondering what will be different about your visit to help ensure the safety of our wonderful clients and team members, so we’re providing that information for your comfort and awareness. We have carefully reviewed the published state required guidelines put in place for the sake of public safety. In addition, Massage Envy leveraged a third-party scientific consulting firm, CTEH, to conduct a thorough analysis of our policies and protocols related to health, hygiene, and sanitation. Based on the state guidelines, feedback from CTEH, and recommendations by health care experts, we are implementing the following safety protocols for our re-opening which will remain in place until further notice:

TEAM MEMBERS
• We will continue to diligently sanitize surfaces and equipment according to CDC guidelines and Massage Envy standards.
• All team members will be required to complete a short health questionnaire and a non-contact temperature reading prior to the start of every shift.
• All team members will wear face masks while in location.

BOOKING & SCHEDULING
• We will ask clients a short health questionnaire at the time of booking.
• We will stagger and limit appointment scheduling to avoid gatherings in the lobby.

DAY OF SERVICE
• We’re asking all clients to wear a mask or face covering upon entering and throughout the massage and stretch session. We will do our best to adjust the face cradle and your position so that you are comfortable. Please bring your preferred mask with you for your appointment.
• At this time skincare services cannot be performed due to the requirements of consumers to wear masks while receiving any service
• When you arrive for your appointment, please call or text and we will alert you when your service provider is ready so you can enter the location for check-in.
• Upon your entrance into the location, we appreciate your assistance in allowing us to ask a few brief screening questions including a short health questionnaire and a non-contact temperature reading. Please note that in order to protect our community, we reserve the right to ask you to reschedule to a later date if we are concerned about your health.

We appreciate your understanding that for the foreseeable future we will need to operate a little differently but please know that the health and safety of everyone is our primary concern. We believe that by following these practices we are minimizing risk and allowing you to reclaim a normal part of your life which includes receiving massage, stretch, and skincare services at Massage Envy. For those who’ve missed their services during this period and are comfortable receiving services, please contact us to set up your appointment. Over the coming days we will be reaching out to every member to welcome you back and get you scheduled for your well-deserved service!

We wanted to give you a brief update on the status of your Massage Envy location. On 03/16/2020 we announced temporary closures of all PCRK Group owned Massage Envy locations for a 13-day period due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The decision was made to ensure the health and safety of our team members, members, guests, their families, and the communities in which we serve. Since that time the spread of COVID-19 has increased and both local and the federal government have taken steps to try to slow down the spread through various means, including shutting down non-essential businesses. The fluid nature of the situation means that we cannot predict when we will be able to resume business.
