UPDATE: Nancy Love has been safely recovered.

Lake County deputies are attempting to locate an 85-year-old Sorrento woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

On October 7, 2024, at approximately 7:55 p.m., Nancy Elizabeth Love (d.o.b. 05/08/1939) was reported missing from her residence located at 32562 Okaloosa Trail, Sorrento. Love is a white female, 5’06 tall, weighs approximately 160 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes. She left her residence driving a 2008 silver Lexus bearing Florida tag VK8SG. Her clothing description is unknown, and she has no cell phone. She left the residence on 10/07/24 at approximately 2 p.m. when she advised she was going to Publix, located at 5240 W. State Rd 46, Sandford, FL.

Detectives are asking the public to call the Sheriff’s Office at 352-343-2101 if they see Ms. Love.

Since we are dealing with Pappy Milton headed this way, we will hold-off on taking donations and will resume next week to help our neighbors in North Florida.

First, thank you all for your help with the baby wipes! The first load has gone to North Florida, and we will continue to collect as long as y’all are willing to donate.
We have received a list from the affected area and they still need so much, but we have chosen to try to collect these items…
> Lysol/bleach wipes
> Individual wrapped snack crackers
> Sanitary pads
> Gallon Ziploc bags
> Benadryl
> Sunscreen
We have secured someone willing to get those items to the Steinhatchee/Big Bend area.
