Thank you to all who have reached out to my family and myself asking if we have family near the epicenter in Turkey, where the most recent earthquake has taken the lives of 12,000 and counting (estimating to reach upwards to 20,000). Those numbers continue to climb as the efforts of first responders from all over the world try to reach for the cries within the rubble. Many not able to be lifted from the weight of the massive poorly built concrete buildings that have crumbled to the ground. We fortunately do not have family who live in the areas affected 🙏🏼 However it is tragic for those living in this nightmare. We are devastated and heartbroken. The people that survive the earthquake are still at risk of hypothermia. Within the first 48 hours our family and friends together with the help of others willing to donate blankets, jackets, any warm winter weather clothing were able to collect a U-Haul truck that was brought to the Turkish embassy and sent to Türkiye that evening on Turkish airlines to get to those who need it as soon as possible. Still if we are able to do more please consider donating. This organization will help provide food water and shelter for those in need.
A little bit from us goes a long way for the people in Türkiye. One US dollar is equivalent to 18 Turkish lira. For example 500TL is only 27USD$.

Due to the spread and risk of COVID-19 ,The Cut Above has decided to temporarily close in an effort to help keep our beloved community, friends and family safe. If you have an appointment set we will contact you to reschedule or if you have any questions our phone lines and voicemail will be open to reach us. We will assess the situation daily and look forward to once again opening our doors and continue doing that which brings us great pleasure- styling Loudoun!
