Pedicures aren't just making toenails pretty. When you have an educated nail professional, things you may have missed can be caught.
I've caught diabetic ulcers, congestive heart failure, and active ingrown nail infections. Each time, they didn't know it was even happening.
I love my career and take your health seriously. Maybe that's the healer in me talking. And when I don't have an answer, I go to the research.
But Rachel, you don't know how to read research. You're "just a nail tech."
Wrong. In PT school, we were taught how to read scientific literature *because one day, the university hoped we would publish our own research.
And even if I never went to PT school, ANYONE can learn to read scientific papers. Doctors aren't this weird species of people who are the only ones allowed to use their God-given intellect.
Podiatrists are extremely helpful for certain things, and specialized nail techs are helpful for others. We can help one another thrive.
We are not competitors.
We are healers.

This pedi was so fun! Just look at all that dry, peeling skin!
The pododisc (Staleks) using a 180 grit pad was perfect for exfoliating without taking off too much (she has thin, fragile skin because she's a senior), and the pedi bit from Erica's 💅 Nail Tools & Tips was perfect for smoothing the skin after exfoliation.
I am also loving the Beauty From Bees Inc. body serum for an all-natural, skin-plumping product that leaves the skin hydrated for a full 24 hours!
You can absolutely achieve incredible results without parabens, mineral oil, paraffin, or other questionable ingredients like propylene glycol or PEGs.
