If any of you recall me posting about colored lash extensions a few months ago, I’ve officially made the decision to add it to my services starting October.

Just in time for Halloween festivities. Perfect to pair with your costumes. And most definitely made for those who are not afraid of a pop of color.

Colored lash extensions are for those who are not afraid of a little bit of color; Push your boundaries and embrace a new look.

Expect these to be listed as one of the options when booking a lash appointment starting October.

A major difference between cluster lashes and lash extensions is isolation. Isolation is one of the necessary steps lash artists must take to ensure that lash extensions are applied to one individual eyelash at a time. This promotes healthy lash growth, proper placement and adequate weight per lash.

Cluster lashes on the other hand are basically sections of a strip lash/group of lashes that are glued together but with a thick base. They can appear more natural from a frontal view, however when looking closely they are not as appealing or effortlessly. They are heavier in weight, and not healthy for your natural lashes.

Most individuals who apply cluster lashes don’t advise their clients on after care, or promote healthy growth of clients natural lashes. This is why they typically are cheaper, and faster to be applied.

Ultimately, when deciding between cluster lashes and individual lash extensions you have to consider what you value. Do you value maintaining your natural lashes and their health. Or are you the type of person who prefers quantity over quality. Cheaper doesn’t always equate to good quality.

Acknowledging and putting into practice the recommended after-care routine can literally be the one thing standing between you and long lasting extensions.

It’s important that you use a lash cleanser not just to ensure that your lash extensions last; but also to avoid any allergic reactions in your eye. Our eyes are one of the most sensitive parts of our body. And they aren’t necessarily accustomed to extensions.

Our natural eyelashes are there to purposely protect our eyes. With lash extensions (I guess you can say you have “extra” protection) however this just means extra build up of dust, dirt etc. Which makes it important that you clean them at the end of your day. Especially if you workout daily, you are outdoors daily, you work in a hot environment or wear makeup regularly.

You should always book your fill-ins in advance as slots can become very limited. You don’t want to wait till the moment that you need a fill-in to book your fill-in.

It’s in your best interest to book your fills at the same time as you booked your full-sets. In the case that your extensions still look great and you feel as if you can go an extra week without a fill you can always contact me at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule.

Often times when we think of Hybrid Sets or Volume Sets we think of very long lash extensions. However, you don’t have to get long lengths. Short lengths are an option.

Lash extensions are customizable. It’s not a one size fits all scenario. When you come in I take the opportunity to discuss your preferences. It’s always a good idea to have a picture of my work so that I can address whether that look is in fact achievable for you based on your eye shape.

Eye shape is very crucial when deciding what lash style to get. By style I am not referring to the set. The sets I offer are classic, hybrid and volume. But the styles that I typically do are cat-eye or doll-eye. And some compliment a clients eye shape more than the other.

I know most of us are over Covid, and we just want to go back to being fully normal again. However, masks are still required at your appointments. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

I make sure to sanitize between each and every client, that was part of the main reason I settled for a recliner to lash in rather than a lash bed. Lash beds are harder to sanitize due to the fact that the bed sheets would have to be washed/dried between clients. I felt that my recliner would bring reassurance to clients who are very concerned with covid , since it requires to be wiped down/disinfected in between clients. Tweezers are also cleaned manually and disinfected daily using barbicide.

Classic sets can come off as very natural, it’s less dramatic than a volume set and is mostly suitable for clients who like the effect of mascara without the hassle of having mascara on.

The downside to wearing mascara is that often times by the end of the day it begins to look runny. And makes people look tired by causing them to have the appearance of dark circles.

Classic sets create the boldness of mascara without the effects of mascara. No one likes the clumpy-ness that mascara creates on lashes. Aside from this it’s convenient in that you can literally wake up and go about your day without having to use an eyelash curler, apply mascara, and wipe off any excess from the mascara that might get on your under eye area.

Tardiness is something that is not tolerated in all aspects of our lives. It can sometimes be the one thing that comes between a person and their personal goals. We’ve often heard the saying “the early bird gets the worm”. Being first/on time leads to success.

Although, this is a lash page not a page about wisdom and life guidance. This is still something you can take with you, and put into practice in your own life.

My lateness Policy is mostly meant to deter clients from arriving late to their appointments. In the rare case that I as a lash artist would be running late due to working on a client, I am always willing to accommodate my clients with a discount. Even though that is something that I have yet to experience I am prepared to provide my clients with the proper service/accommodations. I pride myself on being prepared and ready for my clients at the time of their appointments. Therefore, I carry the same expectations of them.
