The most valuable part of my massage experience…

I traveled across the world to learn from massage masters. I trained as an apprentice under an incredibly skilled teacher. I’ve spent thousands of dollars and hours on continuing education to hone my craft. And yet, the most valuable part of what I offer is not a technique I learned there.

It’s my presence.

Why people come to me. To ME.
It is rooted in my ability to be, and stay, present.

That presence today is what led me to spend time with my hands touching her scalp and shoulders until she lulled off to sleep 😴 accompanied by the sweetest little snore. ❤️

That snore, to me, is a great compliment! It’s a sign that “We’ve done it!” She walked in with a worried mind, a big to-do list, very much “in her head” thinking thinking thinking (we’ve all been there 😮‍💨). With time, we finished 90 minutes later with her nervous system feeling safe and calm enough to REST deeply. To leave feeling restored. Uplifted for another month.

My PRESENCE is the present,
it is key to calming the nervous system- co-regulating with someone else who is has got a secure anchor.

I prepare my body and mind all week for your session to be able to be fully there with YOU, however you show up that day or season. ❤️

📢 if you are the designated “peacemaker” in your family, work, friendships, know that making and keeping peace for YOURSELF is just as important, or MORE, than watching out for other people’s needs. Your intentions are good. But you should not have to feel like you’re being walked all over to try and “keep the peace” in a relationship with someone else. Your peace matters too, and that other person likely won’t put that first- you need to take care of yourself which ultimately will help the relationship or the group as a whole.
