Guess what I have planned on the first of May?

Getting my skin checked for my yearly skin cancer checkup with my dermatologist! May is Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness Month. For the majority of my life, I thought I didn’t have to worry about skin cancer as much because of my Greek heritage and because I never have really had a sunburn. That was incorrect! People of ALL skin colors and types can get cancer.

As much as it feels amazing to lay out in the sun, I’m prioritizing the health of my skin using sunscreen.

Simply dreaming of warmer weather because the winter here is insane 😵‍💫 I cannot believe it’ll be April in TWO days and we are experiencing snowfall.

Thursday is my own spray tan day! Spent the last few days preparing with exfoliating, moisturizing, and getting a pedicure. Getting a tan for no one else but myself.

Before I start my maternity leave after this month, I will be making an order for self-tanner mousse from my favorite brand, Sjolie. I use all of their solutions in studio.

• This product is equivalent to their medium solution, which is what 90% of my clients use.

• The quality is the exact same as my spray tans. I still highly recommend the same prep and post-care

• It’s completely non-comedogenic, meaning it’s safe for acne-prone folks, like myself!

NEW NEW NEW! 🤍 I am now carry exfoliating mitts for $10 at my studio 🧤 These are by far my favorite way to remove an old tan and exfoliate the skin for several reasons. One, you don’t get scratch marks like you do from brushes. Two, they’re more hygienic because you can throw these in the wash once a week. A brush that lives in the shower accumulates bacteria and potentially mold. I use a rubber hanger to make sure mine dries after each shower. Three, although they’re gentle (unlike most brushes), they’re also incredibly effective.

Oh hi double post! But I’ll 100% forget if I don’t do it now. Sporting 1 coat of ’s Dark solution! I went down 1 shade than my normal as the seasons change. During winter, I’ll go down to Medium, which is what the majority of my customers use. If you’re worried about what color you want, we will make that decision together during the color consult at your appointment!

One of the most frequently asked questions is when the best time to get a spray tan is before an event. It can depend on the event, but if you’re going to be in photos, 2-3 days before the event is ideal. If you’re going on vacation, you can get it right before if you please. As always, the quality of your tan depends on the preparation and post-care on top of my work. You may have a few events coming up this holiday season, so I recommend booking your appointment 2-3 weeks in advance to ensure your spot! 🤍
