Fun N Fab shares fun & easy DIY projects, healthy recipes, cute stories, uplifting thoughts and more. Hi! I'm Jeanine. We all have a story. How is that possible?
My story is that my life has had its ups and downs. It hasn't gone according to my plans. I've experienced loss, disappointments, fear, sadness, regret and confusion. Despite this opposition or maybe because of it, I have also experienced joy, happiness, gratitude, hope and peace. Here are some of my thoughts on how I've been able to rise from the ashes of adversity. These thoughts came to me yest
erday as I laid on my mat in the stillness of the Bikram yoga room after a 90 minute class. BODY, MIND and SPIRIT
BODY- You are what you eat. MIND- You are what you think. SPIRIT- God loves you and answers prayers. Let's start with Body. I became more aware of using natural remedies when I was a young mother. My neighbor was a Master Herbalist and had a class on First Aid/Remedies using herbs. My biggest takeaway was Red Raspberry tea. I found that if I had my family drink it the moment they got the sniffles, sore throat, aches and pains etc. they either didn't get sick or they were sick for just a few days. All 4 of our boys grew up drinking the Red Raspberry Tea, adding Peppermint and Chamomile to soften the flavor. Thus, "Bubblegum Tea," was born! My husband and I continue to occasionally drink it! In 2011 I distinctly remember feeling very blah. I had just completed a cleanse that left me feeling depleted physically, emotionally flat-lined and spiritually empty. I couldn't seem to shake it and get back on my feet for a period of time. The best way to describe it is that I wasn't happy or sad; I was just blank. There was no passion for life! It was weird! I knew I was in trouble so I said a simple prayer, "Please help me!" That was it. A few days later I was introduced to essential oils. They have changed my life. I also changed my diet, adding more fruits and veggies, and less meat and grains. MIND: You are what you think! All of us have a voice that talks to us. It is our voice! It's either positive or negative. We have the power to change our self-talk which can change the course of our life. SPIRIT: God loves us and answers prayers. Sometimes the answer is no. Ouch! One of my favorite recent movies is, "War Room." Check it out! It just might become one of your faves! Prayer and positive affirmations keep me going forward in life with faith and hope that everything will work out! I am grateful to my friend Kim Jepsen for working with me to create the best DIY's with safe natural ingredients. She has spent many hours perfecting some of the recipes I will be sharing. I couldn't do this without the technical skills of my husband Jim. He's my go to whenever I get stuck, which is quite often! Thank you! I look forward to getting to know you! There are so many great ideas out there. Please share! Please contact me at: [email protected]
