If you recently started taking Balance & Burn and noticed a little bloating or some digestive changes, you’re not alone.

Clinical studies show berberine can alter the gut microbiome and temporarily cause gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating or bowel changes in some people during early use. This can include a mild weight gain as the microbiome adjusts.

My personal update. Since December 18, 2025, I’ve been consistently using Young Living Balance & Burn along with the pilot formulation of Master Cellular Nutrition, and the results have completely changed how I think about health progress.

For the first THREE MONTHS… the scale barely moved.

In fact, there were times my weight actually increased.

But underneath the surface, my body composition was changing dramatically.

Here’s what my measurements showed over time measured by Dexa and InBody 580 (the same device coming to Awaken Tour).

• Weight: 286.4 lbs → 269.5 lbs
• Body Fat: 39.1% → 30.4%
• Fat Mass: 108.4 lbs → 81.9 lbs
• Lean Mass: 169.0 lbs → 187.6 lbs
(This is what I am most excited about)
• Visceral Fat measurements also improved significantly

That means while the scale appeared “stuck,” or “broken,” or “failed attempt,” my body was actually:
- Building lean mass

- Recomping before major weight loss became visible

Only recently has the actual body weight started dropping more noticeably.

This experience taught me something powerful:
The scale alone is one of the worst ways to measure real progress.

If I had judged success only by body weight during those early months, I probably would have assumed nothing was happening. Weight gained. Frustration. Doesn’t work. Failed formula? Right? Quite the opposite!

I’ve been deep in my doctoral testing and studies at Purdue University, and one concept that keeps showing up in both research and my daily routine is context-dependent memory.

In cognitive psychology, context-dependent memory refers to the brain’s tendency to better encode and retrieve information when the environmental cues present during learning are also present during recall. These cues can be visual, auditory, and especially olfactory. Some research even suggests that chewing gum can provide a scientific reaction.

The olfactory system has a direct pathway to the limbic system, especially the hippocampus and amygdala, which are heavily involved in memory formation and emotional processing. This is why scent can be such a powerful anchor for recall.

For me, I’ve been intentionally pairing my study sessions with Young Living Lime Essential Oil. Its bright citrus profile is not just uplifting, it becomes a consistent sensory input during encoding. When I reintroduce that same scent before testing or recall, I am recreating part of the original learning context.

Think of your body’s nutrient economy as a well-managed banking system… until a hidden cost starts draining it.

Senescent cells are like recurring bank fees you didn’t sign up for.

They are still active, still “on the books,” but they are no longer contributing any real value. Instead of supporting growth, repair, or performance, they quietly skim resources from your system. They consume nutrients, occupy space, and release inflammatory signals that ripple through surrounding tissues.

It’s not a loud, obvious withdrawal. It’s more like small, repeated service charges. Individually, they seem insignificant. But over time, they add up and start eroding your balance.

This is what low-grade, non chronic inflammation really looks like at the cellular level. A constant trickle of unnecessary expenses pulling from your reserves, reducing efficiency, and accelerating wear and tear across the system.

Most people don’t realize this: your body manages nutrients a lot like a financial system with two accounts—a serum nutrient checking account and a cellular nutrient overdraft savings account.

Every time you eat, nutrients are deposited here and used for urgent, essential expenses like heart rhythm, brain activity, and basic metabolism.
