You may be wondering what is microneedling/nanoneedling?

They both deal with needles penetrating into your skin and purposely injuring your skin. By purposely injuring your skin it helps create collagen induction meaning more production of collagen which gives you the results of youthful looking skin .The only difference between nanoneedling and microneedling is the depth of how far the needles penetrates your skin.

Nanoneedling: It is a procedure that does not require numbing cream since it is not as invasive as microneedling. It only penetrates as far as the first layer of your skin also known as the epidermis. It targets hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and elasticity.

Microneedling: Is a more invasive procedure, so numbing cream is used. It penetrates past the epidermis into the deep dermis (the next layer of your skin)! This would be a great option for those who are dealing with deep fine lines, sagging skin, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and help reduce the appearance of melasma (brown patches that appears on the face due to hormones during pregnancy or from sun exposure). Due to it being more invasive, you will be leaving with your face pretty red and may have some blood.
So if you are planning to get this treatment, plan to go home afterwards and rest!
