I meant to share this advice weeks ago but forgot... (sorry for the untimely notice but it really applies all year long). When giving children gifts it is best not to tape the gift receipt to the present. Either hold onto it and give it to the parent if needed or place it in an envelope attached to the gift. Children should not be handling receipts. Receipts are printed on thermal paper which is coated in a fine powder that contains the endocrine disrupting toxic chemicals BPA/S. The amount on an average receipt is hundreds of times higher than that in a can, and more importantly it is more bioavailable. Unlike the BPA/S in cans/plastic, the BPA/S on receipt paper is not bound to the product and when handled the powder can be transferred to the skin and absorbed into the blood in a matter of seconds.
