Tatsiana McGee, LMT

Hello and welcome! My name is Tatsiana McGee. I am a licensed massage therapist with 24 years of professional experience, based in Lexington, Kentucky. Born and raised in Belarus, a country in Eastern Europe, I have lived in the United States for 26 years. I graduated from The Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Movement in Nashville, Tennessee in 2001, and started my career as a massage therapist in San Francisco Bay Area in 2002, working with Schillinger Chiropractic, Stress Management Center of Marin and Barefoot and Pregnant Maternity Spa, all in Marin County, California, right across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. In 2003 I returned to Belarus for a year to complete my studies at Polotsk State University in my hometown, graduating in 2004 as a teacher of English and German as foreign languages, with a Master’s Degree in Education. In 2005 I became a mother - my daughter Kyra has been and will always be my greatest teacher. I moved to Lexington, Kentucky from California in 2006, and have been joyfully serving the families of Central Kentucky for the past 20 years, first at my massage studio, Family Works Massage, then for many years at Baby Moon pregnancy and birth resource center, that was later rebranded to Whole Mama, and as of January 2025 at my new massage studio in the historic Athens community of Lexington. I specialize in therapeutic, pregnancy and postpartum massage, crafting each massage session based on my client’s unique needs, drawing from my experience in Swedish, therapeutic, myofascial, deep tissue and trigger point massage, as well as aromatherapy, Vedic Thai-Yoga Bodywork and Reiki.

I have shared with you all that music is another passion of mine, and that my sweetheart Mike and I have an acoustic duo together, called “One Lane Bridge”. Well, Mike and I have been growing another musical project for the past 18 months, a full band this time, called The New Athenians. We’ve been practicing at our music studio right around the corner from the massage studio, in our beloved historic Athens community in Lexington, Kentucky, where we live, work and play. Our music spans a multitude of genres, time periods and languages. And let me tell you - we are a fun bunch! We are ready to take this show on the road! Our debut concert as The New Athenians will take place at Lancaster Grand Theater in Lancaster, Kentucky (about 40 minutes from Lexington), next Saturday, March 14, 7:30pm showtime! Merry Christmas! Hoping all of my clients and their families are enjoying a happy and healthy winter holiday season! So grateful for each and every one of you! The first year at my new massage studio has been simply magical - thank you for co-creating and sharing in this magic with me. Today marks my 25th anniversary of living in America! Quarter of a century! What an incredible journey it has been! Loved every minute of it, so grateful for all the amazing gifts this beautiful country has bestowed upon me, excited about all the adventures ahead!
