It’s hard to believe that I’ve been a hairstylist for FIVE years already! I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities, friendships, and wonderful clients I’ve gotten to service over the last five years.

I’ve been able to work with some of my favorite brands, meet some AMAZING stylists/educators, live out my dream of owning a salon, and getting to educate other stylists by being on the Copper Pro Team!

This client has a natural level 7 base & has been copper for about two years with Redken Shades EQ 06CR + 06AA

To start, I went in with Redken Flashlift Bonder inside & 20 volume to ensure we keep the hair healthy while lifting

Next, I went in between the foils with the NEW 07AA Bonder Inside to refresh the vibrancy & shine!

After the lightener processed, I did a global gloss using the NEW 09CR Bonder Inside + 010AA Bonder Inside to create this warm, copper blonde!

To finish, I went in with equal parts 06CR + 07AA Bonder Inside to give a little more depth at the root — and I am OBSESSED with how this turned out!

let’s talk about Shades EQ!

I tried something new with this formula & I am absolutely loving how it turned out — I wanted more coverage for this root color in order for the grow out to be seamless & this client can go longer in between appointments!

I used equal parts 06NB + 07NA. I chose to go with 06NB to add a hint warmth & help “grab” onto the lightened hair, along with adding 07NA to counteract as an ash tone in order for them to neutralize while processing. This created a seamless, neutral tone & perfectly matched the clients natural color!

For the mids + ends gloss, I kept it simple & used one of my FAVORITE Shades, which is 010GI in Redken Shades EQ.

pro tip: let your gloss process for the full 20 minutes, rinse, then go in with your root melt. This gives the most seamless blend!
