I guess it’s finally time I introduce myself!

I’ve shared my work, my businesses, and so many pieces of my journey on here, but somehow I’ve never actually introduced the person behind it all. 🤍

Hi, I’m Jayla! 👋🏽

I’m originally from a small town in Northern Kentucky, but I’ve called Lexington home since 2014! I absolutely love it here. I’m married to my best friend, we have the sweetest little boy, and outside of being a wife and mama, entrepreneurship and the beauty industry have become such a huge part of who I am.

I graduated with my degree in Business Management, but my journey into the beauty industry actually started in 2019 with lash extensions. In 2020, I added needle-free lip filler, and eventually decided I wanted to take my education even further. I went back to school for esthetics and became a licensed esthetician in 2023.

For about a year and a half, I booth rented while building my clientele and figuring out what I wanted the next chapter of my business to look like. Eventually, I decided to take one of the biggest (and scariest 😅) risks of my career and open a salon of my own.

And apparently I liked taking risks because I didn’t stop there. 😂

In 2024, I opened my second esthetics salon, and this year, I partnered with my bestie to open For You Beauty Salon Suites. 🥹🤍

One of my favorite parts of this journey has been getting to share my spaces with other business owners. I genuinely LOVE the beauty industry and not just because of what I do, but because of the community that comes with it. I love meeting other professionals, learning from them, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and watching other women build businesses they’re proud of.

The beauty industry really does feel like a family, and creating spaces where other professionals can grow their businesses has become something I love just as much as growing my own.

It’s been a lot of learning, a lot of taking chances, and a whole lot of figuring things out along the way. 😂 But I’m incredibly grateful for every client, business owner, friend, and supporter who has been part of it.
