Sometimes I look around and think, I made this life.

I took the scary leap, built So Pretty It Hurts, and helped create The Spa Collective—a woman-owned, woman-operated space full of women building something of their own.

It was scary. It still is sometimes. But I love what we’ve built, and I’m damn proud of it.

Because when women lift each other up, we don’t just change our own lives.

We change the world. 🖤

I’ll never get over what a few thoughtfully placed hairstrokes can do. Good brows → WOW brows. ✨

Can we talk about these brows for a second? 😍

This is what I love about a beautiful powder brow—soft, polished definition that brings balance to the entire face without looking heavy or overdone. Just a better-defined version of what was already there.

I’m also changing a few things up and want your opinion! Do you like seeing the before + after together like this, or do you prefer separate photos?

And while we’re at it… you may have noticed the new So Pretty It Hurts logo. 👀 Are we loving the new look or not so much? 🖤✨

The real reason women get their brows done?

It’s not just about having pretty brows.

It’s about not feeling like you have to “fix” your face every morning.

Not worrying if your brows disappeared in the pool.

Not spending 15 minutes trying to make them look even.

Not looking in the mirror and feeling tired before your day even starts.

Microblading gives you that little bit of confidence, convenience, and “I woke up like this” energy.

Because sometimes, the best beauty investment is the one that gives you time back. ✨

This is one of those cases where education and experience really matter.

This client came to me after having laser removal IMMEDIATELY followed by a new brow tattoo by another artist—something that should NEVER be done. The skin needs time to heal between procedures, and tattooing freshly lasered skin could have caused significant injury and scarring.

Thankfully, she came to me relatively unscathed, all things considered. Removal would have been my preference, but after evaluating her brows we determined there was room for improvement and she chose a correction and cover-up instead.

With corrections like this, healed results can never be guaranteed. There are simply too many variables when you're working over previous work, especially skin that has already been traumatized.

I’m proud of the improvement we were able to make, but I also advised her that when she’s ready in the future, removal is ultimately the best path forward.

And honestly? She’s way too beautiful to be walking around with bad brows. ❤️

Please do your homework before choosing an artist. Education and experience aren't just about creating beautiful brows—they’re about knowing when not to touch someone’s skin, when removal is necessary, and how to avoid causing permanent damage.

Some transformations are a little more complicated than they look—and this one reminded me why being honest about the process matters. 🤍

This client came to me with previous brow work that had faded to a salmon color. Because she is so fair with red hair and there was already pigment in the skin, I took a very conservative approach during her first session. Honestly? They healed much lighter than I wanted.

And that's hard to admit as an artist. We want every first session to be the perfect result. But permanent makeup is a process, especially when we're working with previous work.

The good news? We had room to build. At her perfecting session, I was able to make the adjustments needed and get her brows where they needed to be.

Sometimes good PMU isn't about doing more. It's about knowing when to do less, letting the skin heal, assessing what happened, and making thoughtful adjustments.

I'm proud of this one—not because it was effortless, but because it wasn't. And because we got there. 🤍

Beauty has no age limit. ❤️

This is a lipblush correction, and I’m sharing the raw before and after photos because real skin and real results need to be seen.

BEFORE: Her previous lipblush (not my work) had healed with an orange-toned outline that extended far beyond her natural vermilion border.

AFTER: We softened and corrected the existing pigment, bringing the color and shape back into harmony with her natural lips. Though we had to work outside the vermilion border, we achieved better symmetry and a more natural transition.

Lipblushing isn't ever just about adding color. For many women, it's about feeling more like themselves. Maybe their natural lip color has faded over time, their lips disappear without lipstick, or they're simply tired of constantly applying makeup to feel put together.

And sometimes it's just nice to look in the mirror and see a little more of the person you feel like on the inside.

You can embrace your age, your lines, your texture, and every part of what makes your face yours—and still want to enhance it.

That's not vanity. That's choice. ❤️

Real skin. Real women. Real beauty. At every age.

So Pretty It Hurts — because you deserve to look in the mirror and think, “There I am.”

From virgin brows → fresh microblading → healed results → perfecting session ✨

Sometimes it’s not really about the brows.

It’s about not wanting to spend 15 minutes every morning trying to make them look even. It’s about feeling a little more put-together when you look in the mirror. It’s about getting tired of filling in the same sparse spots, worrying about your brows disappearing by lunchtime, or simply wishing the face staring back at you looked a little more like you.

Microblading isn’t about changing your face. It’s about enhancing what’s already there—and giving you one less thing to think about.

And this transformation? Proof that beautiful, natural-looking brows are a process. The healed first session gives us our roadmap, and the perfecting session lets us fine-tune the details. 🤍

Your brows should look like your brows—just a little easier. ✨
