I have put this post off for as long as I can. As most of my clients know within the last couple of years I’ve developed an allergy to hair color. Within the last couple of months it’s gotten significantly worse. I’ve seen multiple doctors numerous times to try anything and everything to figure out what I can do so I can still do hair. I’ve tried multiple medications, creams and gloves, which I’ve had no luck with. Since I’ve been going in complete circles and nothing working, I’ve decided Tuesday 9/26 will be my last day at Posh. The last 3 years have been the absolute best. Although I don’t 100% understand why I’m being pulled away from something I love doing, I’m trusting God to give me comfort and maybe one day I’ll be able to understand why this chapter is closing.

Thank you to all of my clients for all of the love and support. I’m so grateful for all the laughter we’ve shared and the milestones we’ve gotten to celebrate together! Moving from a small town to become a cosmetologist in Lexington was a scary decision at first ,but you all have made it the BEST experience!!

Most importantly THANK YOU to the best boss Mike Carter. I will forever be grateful for every one on one with you that got me to where I am today. Most of the time it was meetings to see how I was doing on meeting my goals, what I was struggling with etc…. but I’ll never forget the little pieces of advice you gave me just about everyday life. I remember in one specific meeting I was going through a change in my life and you told me, “sometimes people/ things don’t belong in new seasons of your life.” Even though it didn’t make sense then, you were so right.

Secondly, THANK YOU to Chelsea Webb. My first day at Posh, I was scared to death. I walked in and couldn’t believe how huge the salon was. I couldn’t believe I had the opportunity to work somewhere like this. I will never forget your immediate warm welcoming and ever since that day becoming my best friend. You are such a ray of sunshine!! Even when you’re going through something, you make sure to always have a positive attitude with a smile on your face. There are hundreds of things I learned from you, but that is one that sticks out to me. You always told me that you never know what anyone is going through and to just be kind when they were in my chair. After being behind the chair for a couple of years, you were so right. You never know what people are going through when they sit down. I’ve gotten some of my clients ready for the best day of their life. I’ve also gotten some ready for what is probably one of the worst days of their life. Always show kindness. I will forever be thankful for both of your alls guidance and mentoring to get me to where I am today.❤️
