Sometimes we believe that our feelings define who we are. But then we step back and realize that feelings change the very next second. So don’t get too discouraged if what you want isn’t visible right now.

There’s always a price for everything. Don't negotiate your face. Natural beautiful brows are not as simple as just picking up a machine with ink and running it on the skin.

I realized I was never taught how to identify my emotions in depth. That is the foundation for strong relationship building. I don't just enjoy my time with my clients in my business but also with my kids. How do you express frustration and excitement?

5 mistakes I made when I first started doing nano hair strokes.
I’m sharing them so you don’t have to learn them the hard way.
Some looked natural. Some looked drawn on. And I didn’t fully understand why until I started studying the difference.

The truth: every brow has its own natural growth direction. The pattern has to follow you — not a template.

2. I only did soft strokes.

I was taught that soft strokes were the gold standard. So that’s all I did.

What I didn’t know yet — some brow textures need soft strokes. Others need sharper, crisper, cleaner lines to create realistic texture and depth.

Soft strokes on the wrong brow don’t look delicate. They look undefined.

3. I added hair strokes over coarse brow hairs.

When someone already has thick, dark, stiff brow hairs — nano strokes won’t blend with them. They sit differently. They flow differently.

The result is a brow that looks like two separate things happening at once instead of one seamless, natural look.

Coarse brow hair requires a completely different approach. I know that now.

4. I matched the PMU color exactly to the brow hair.

Fresh out of the appointment — it looked perfect. Beautiful match.

But PMU color evolves. Over time it pulls cooler, ashier, more artificial.

Going slightly warmer than the natural hair color isn’t a mistake — it’s the strategy. It accounts for how the pigment ages and keeps the color looking natural long after the appointment.

5. I used the same needle start to finish.

Not all needles are created equal. Not all needles can perform every technique with the same precision from the first stroke to the last.

As a needle is used, it changes. The sharpness shifts. The ink deposit changes.

Changing needles while working on each brow maintains consistency, precision, and the quality of every single stroke — from the first hair to the last.

These mistakes made me a better artist.

But you shouldn’t have to sit in the chair of someone still learning these lessons.
Come see me. Let’s talk about what your brows actually need.

Not every permanent makeup artist loves everything about PMU. Sometimes it just comes down to timing 😆❤️.

Mindset truly shapes our life. Whether it’s about relationships, personal growth, or beauty, the same principles apply. That’s why people often say that changing your mindset can change your life. If you feel your eyebrows need a change, I encourage you to go for it, it’s a step toward embracing yourself. ❤️

Ps. I love QUINLAN WALTHER 🥰
