Whew! Finally finished this grueling 135 hour certification, and I am officially a certified lymphedema therapist. I had the silliest group and the absolute best instructor for the in person portion, but boy are we tired after all those 10-12 hour days. I think when it’s all said and done, I will have completed a ton of certifications in manual lymphatic drainage, and over 750 hours clocked. Finishing up the second post surgical to update current procedures, along with more oncology. I’ve been doing manual lymphatic drainage for more than five years, and I absolutely love it. Looking forward to working with some of the oncology centers to help bring more resources for a much needed area, so I would love anyone who works with cancer/post cancer patients, post surgical, or lymphedema patients to please spread the word. This work is so needed, as we just do not have enough CLT’s here. I’m looking to help anyone I can❤️! Am I stepping away from esthetics and massage therapy? Absolutely not! I love what I do and will most likely never stop, but I’m excited to help heal in other ways.

As we enter a super busy and holiday filled season, I want to remind my clients that I will be out of the studio from December 15th until January 2nd. My husband and I take this time to be present with our kiddos while they are on winter break. The schedule is booming right now, so existing clients, please book your appointments as soon as possible to grab a calming and nervous system regulating spot on the table. ⁣

I would also like to remind everyone to grab your self care, take deep breaths, be present, and do your best to live a wink slower in this busy season☺️

Trauma. Whether it’s emotional or physical, most of us aren’t getting out of here without acquiring some of it. Trauma and negative emotions love to nestle down into the tissues, fascia, organs, and other places within the body. Many times it resides there for years, going unnoticed. The jaw and hips are often the most guilty of hoarding trauma, but it can be stored anywhere within the body and mind.⁣

Sometimes it’s not the trauma, but it is the stress that piles upon us every day until we finally break. Myofascial and emotional releases are quite common during treatments, as the tissue work performed can often unlock stored trauma and emotions. Please know that if my table is the place where you release your trauma or the stress that you are carrying, you are in a safe and judgement free zone. While I have been there myself and I do understand it may feel embarrassing or vulnerable, so much healing can take place when you allow yourself to let go. ⁣

Let’s chat all things product free facial treatments. Often times, new clients are nervous about receiving treatments with fears of products clogging or breakouts. Sometimes they have had a history of acne or sensitivities, and some clients tend to have allergic reactions. While there are some amazing and life changing products out there, much of the sculpting and lymphatic magic that happens in the studio does not require product🙌🏻. The magic comes via my hands and the powerful modalities that I have learned over the years. Rest your worries of scary products, and choose the “no product” facial treatment or mention these concerns when scheduling. You will not miss the magic✨

I have opened up the schedule in efforts to allow more availability and flexibility for your busy schedules. I will be opening up some later Friday’s as well as we go along. I will not be booking all of those times, so with that being said, I will shut down scheduling for each week as it hits capacity. ⁣
