Hello lovelies! Just an announcement that I will be out of work for a several months(aside from the occasional Saturday once I am able!)! They are inducing me tomorrow to have my son, so I will be pretty busy for a while, but please feel free to message me and I’ll get back to you when I’m able! Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanks!

‼️IMPORTANT BUSINESS ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

Hello lovelies!!! I am so excited to make this announcement!

As you know, tomorrow is my last day at the current salon, Here To There Hair. Although I love this place and it is a hard to leave, I have wonderful memories from my time there and am so grateful that I was able to begin my cosmetology career there, with a wonderful owner who became a great friend!

But sometimes God allows doors to close so that another may open.

I am happy to announce that I will be beginning a new leg of the journey at a new (to me!) location, Welcome Hair Designers.
Thanks to yet another wonderful salon owner, I have been given a great chance to continue my career.

As many of you know, and some of you know the reason why, I’ve been faced with many difficult obstacles and circumstances to overcome in the last several months. I still plan to release more details later as to what led up to this point and what the “catalyst” was/is, but it’s getting harder for me to work full time and maintain the schedule I, and some of you, was/were accustomed to, partially due to my health.

So I will only be doing hair on Friday afternoons and some Saturday mornings on an as needed basis for my clients.

Please understand, this is an extremely customized situation so that I am still able to work and not abandon my current clients, and because of that, I will need at least a weeks notice to work with the owners schedule and other stylists at the salon since it’s not a normal booth rental situation.
I am so blessed to have found someone so willing to help me in my strange situation, and honestly I wasn’t sure it would be possible to find something that would work for me, any owner, and my clients. But God provides!

I will be out next week due to prior engagements, and I will be out of town on otherwise potential appointment dates until Friday November the 15th, and I already have several appointments in the making for that day. I’m sorry for any inconvenience. But one more crazy month and then we should have relatively smooth sailing for a while!!

With all my love and appreciation,
Kelli Hammonds Gebhardt(Kiki)

❗️‼️IMPORTANT MESSAGE UPDATE!‼️❗️

Hello, lovelies! I apologize in advance, but this is a long one, but I would greatly appreciate it if(even if it’s not right now!) you would read it:

I have some (possibly unfortunate) news.

Due to recent circumstances out of my control, I have found myself in a bit of a pickle, recently.

As many of you know, for the last several years, I’ve had multiple jobs to be able to make ends meet. Due to circumstances and decisions of others, I was placed on extended leave from the rest home.

PLEASE NOTE: I swear I have not done anything wrong or unsavory; that decision was simply based on circumstances that I feel should be addressed at a later date.

However, I have ultimately decided not to return to my position there in the future. It is a position that, although I adored my residents, placed me under a lot of unnecessary stress and I was faced with difficulties that should not have been there. It was not a spur of the moment decision on my part to fully give up the job. I assure you it was something that I thought about for several days and came to a joint decision with my husband on after fully thinking it over. It has led me to have to make other, more difficult decisions, though.

Now for the more unfortunate part of this announcement:

I have officially turned in my 30 day notice at Here to There Hair.
My last scheduled day there is October 18th.

Why/how did I come to this decision?:

I am looking at a major financial hit from not working at the Rest Home(even if I stayed, it was a commission based job; I didn’t get a paycheck if I didn’t work, and I would not receive any pay from that situation while on the extended leave.) I simply cannot afford a weekly booth rent of this caliber at this time, and it’s not fair for me to leave the owner hanging, or possibly be taking opportunity from another stylist, when I know it will be very difficult, if not altogether impossible, for me to meet the booth rent every week.

I have talked it over with the owner there, and We feel that this is the best decision for both of us. I do not feel it is fair of me to ask her to change our business situation because of circumstances that she had no hand in. I still have the greatest of appreciation for the owner of the shop and all of the opportunities she has given me. I will forever be in her debt. That being said, if you know of a stylist looking for a booth rental situation, please have them contact me, so we can get them in contact with her and that room filled.

Now for the most important part of this long post:

‼️I AM NOT QUITTING AS A STYLIST YET!!!! ‼️
I will not permanently hang that apron up for as long as I am able! I’m simply having to rearrange and figure out where the hook to hang it will be.

For all my loyal clients; I adore you! I’ve been very blessed to have had you in my chair, and I have made friendships with you that I am so so grateful for! I swear I am not abandoning you! You have been the biggest concern on my mind throughout this process of decision making I’ve been faced with in the last couple weeks. I promise you, I am trying my best to figure out a way to make this work.

With that being said, I’m still having to figure things out. All of this has happened in a very short amount of time,(two weeks) and I won’t lie; it’s left me a tad whiplashed in the process. I’m still picking up the pieces of things that have seemingly shattered around me, trying to find a way to put the pieces back together so none get left out.

I am not sure at this time where the new home of Styling by Kiki will be, or if we will even be able to find a new home that we can work with based on the circumstances I am currently facing.
I appreciate your patience and understanding, but I also will not hold a grudge and will understand if you choose to go elsewhere after all is said and done. Once again, you all are my main concern and I simply want the best situation to fit your needs!

‼️The current plan is:

1. I am not trying to grow my clientele, currently. Please understand, it’s not that I do not care to, I just don’t think it is fair, or responsible to try and bring someone new in, when I currently can’t tell them where the new salon home will be, or even if I might have a new salon to call home. Simply put, I don’t like making promises I’m not sure I can keep.

2. I am currently looking into options for booth rent that are possibly for one day a week, or as needed by the month. I do not know if anyone will be willing to work with those circumstances, but due to lack of finances, and most of you being color clients that I see once every month or so, I could just book a busier few days rather than a sparser week. I feel that this is the best option to currently look into. If you know of anyone who might be willing to work with me on this, as far as the booth rental goes, I would be most appreciative if you would be willing to give me details to reach out to them. I do not even have to store my tools products, etc there, I will gladly bring what I need with me on the basis as needed, and take my things with me(including all my mess) when I leave. All I really need access to is a styling chair, a power outlet, and a shampoo bowl and water, which I of course would gladly compensate them for!

3: Some of you already know the full situation because of recent appointments. Please don’t think I tried to inform any of you before another, I really haven’t intended to. There is simply a lot of information to discuss with you to better explain the situation, and I’ve had my hands full just trying to get my affairs in order in the last couple weeks. If you have any questions or need clarification on anything, please reach out to me. Either on here or text is fine(you know how bad My signal is when at home for phone calls!). I will be more than happy to fill you in.

4: If you know of anyone looking for a more full time booth rental situation, especially if they already have a clientele built up of their own, please put them in contact with me so I can possibly get them in touch with the owner of the shop.

5: Once again, because this is very important to me, if you are an existing client and you would feel more comfortable going elsewhere(whether that be now or once I figure more out later down the road), I will not hold a grudge. I love you all and I completely understand. I really wish I had more clarification on things, or could give you a more solid plan for what is going on on my side of things currently. I do not wish to leave any of you hanging or feeling abandoned, because I promise that is not my intention. You have the right to know what’s going on and make your own decision based on what I am able to give you at this time.
I LOVE YOU ALL!

6: I WILL NOT LET MY LICENSE LAPSE! I fully intend to keep them up to date. I worked too hard for too long to lose them due to one crappy year!
I have to renew it this year, and I will keep up with my continued education and renew them as necessary in the years to follow.

I will keep you all updated as I figure things out.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the experiences you’ve given me! The patience, kindness, understanding, and loyalty I have received from all of you over the years has not gone without notice. I am a very blessed woman, and grateful to have had the time with you that I did. I do truly hope for more time with you, but once again, no hard feelings if that is not in the cards. I wish you all the best! God bless you all!!!

With all my love and appreciation,
Kelli Hammonds Gebhardt (Kiki) ☺️

Hello lovelies! Just a reminder that I will be out of town until the 26th. I’ll be with my family, so I will not be taking calls or texts from clients during this time. Please just leave a message and I’ll get back to you once I’m back in town.
Thanks!
