Sensitive skin doesn’t automatically need “organic” skincare. It needs support. 💪

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear as an esthetician is:

“My skin is sensitive, so I only use organic products.”

But here’s the truth:
Natural and organic ingredients can still trigger irritation, redness, inflammation, allergic reactions, and barrier damage — especially if the skin is already compromised.

Ingredients being plant-based or organic does NOT automatically make them gentle. 🥲

In fact, some essential oils, fragrances, citrus extracts, and botanical ingredients are common triggers for sensitive skin.

• Hydration
• Gentle formulations
• Low irritation ingredients
• Consistency
• Protection (especially SPF)

Not just a label that says “organic.”

MYTH: Organic skincare is always safer for sensitive skin.
FACT: Sensitive skin responds best to ingredients and formulations that protect and support the skin barrier — not marketing buzzwords.

Healing the skin is rarely linear. Trusting the process can be hard when the skin looks worse before it looks better… but this is exactly why consistency matters. ✨

From March → May, we’ve focused on repairing, clearing congestion, and supporting her skin barrier — not rushing the process.
✔️What you’re seeing in the middle phase is purging: underlying congestion surfacing instead of staying trapped beneath the skin.

Current homecare:
• Face Reality Ultra Gentle Cleanser
• Moisturizing Toner
• Mandelic Serum (now reduced to 2-3x weekly)
• SPF 30 daily
• ClearDerm at night

The next phase will be microneedling to continue improving texture and post-acne pigmentation. ✨
